Beyond Manual Therapy: Functional Performance Following the Addition of Ujjayi Pranayama in College Students With Upper Cross Syndrome

This study aims to explore the relationship between spinal alignment and functional performance in individuals with upper cross syndrome following a combined breathing and manual therapy program. It is designed as a secondary analysis of data obtained from a previously conducted randomized controlled trial, with the addition of objective spinal measurements using the Spinal Mouse device. Functional performance will be assessed using standardized tests such as the 6-minute walk test and the timed up and go test. Statistical analysis will include correlation and regression models to determine whether spinal alignment parameters can predict functional outcomes. The findings are expected to provide insight into the biomechanical role of posture in functional recovery among individuals with upper cross syndrome.

Effect of Ventilator Hyperinflation Combined With Body Positioning on Arterial Blood Gases In Patients With Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia : A Randomized Controlled Trial

This study aims to evaluate the effect of ventilator hyperinflation combined with body positioning on arterial blood gases in patients with ventilator-associated pneumonia. Forty-two mechanically ventilated patients will be randomly assigned into two groups receiving the intervention in either supine or lateral decubitus positions. Arterial blood gases will be assessed over a 6-day intervention period. The findings are expected to provide evidence regarding the optimal positioning strategy to enhance the effectiveness of ventilator hyperinflation in improving gas exchange in critically ill patients.

Improve Muscle Weakness in Patient With COPD

This randomized controlled trial investigated the effects of combining aerobic exercise with blood flow restriction (BFR) training in patients with emphysematous chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The study aimed to determine whether adding BFR to aerobic exercise could enhance muscle strength and functional capacity compared with conventional training alone. The findings demonstrated that aerobic exercise combined with BFR significantly improved lower-limb muscle strength, exercise tolerance, and functional performance in patients with emphysematous COPD. These results suggest that BFR-assisted aerobic training may serve as an effective and safe rehabilitation strategy to improve physical function and quality of life in this population.

Structured Wii Aerobic Protocol on Reaction Time and Pulmonary Functions in Over Weight School- Aged Children

Childhood overweight have emerged as major global health concerns and are linked to lower pulmonary functions and reaction time levels among school-aged children. Although exercise, particularly multicomponent training, effectively improves pulmonary functions, maintaining exercise adherence in children with overweight remains a significant challenge. As a result, there is a need for more engaging and motivating exercise options for this group, and active structured wii protocol, which involve full-body movement and boost energy expenditure, have been suggested as a promising alternative..

Water Based Burpee Exercises on Functional Capacity in Poste-menopausal Women After Thyroidectomy

Skeletal muscle mass plays an important role with both metabolism and functional capacity. It is well established that the aging process leads to a significant decline in both muscle mass and strength which is associated with frailty , an increased risk of falls and decreased physical fitness and function In this context, high-load resistance training has been shown to reduce the risk of falls and increase strength and functional capacity in middle-aged and/or elderly individuals. Aquatic exercise is one method that has previously been shown to improve muscle strength, balance, and coordination in those of advancing age Although the evidence supports the effectiveness of both water-based burpee exercise in middle-aged and elderly individuals, has, to our knowledge, never been investigated. Thus, the objective of this study was to assess the long-term effect of water-based burpee exercises
