Virtual Reality-Augmented Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy Versus Conventional Constraint-Induced Therapy for Upper Limb Rehabilitation in Children With Unilateral Cerebral Palsy.

Cerebral palsy (CP) causes persistent motor and postural impairments that can limit children's functional independence and participation. Upper-limb rehabilitation traditionally relies on conventional therapies, while Virtual Reality (VR) provides an immersive, engaging environment that can improve motor function and quality of life. Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) promotes intensive use of the affected upper limb and has demonstrated benefits in motor and functional outcomes. Recent evidence suggests that combining VR with CIMT (VRCIT) may further improve upper-limb function, hand manipulation, and dexterity. However, in Tunisia, access to CIMT and VR-based rehabilitation remains limited, and no Tunisian study has yet evaluated the effectiveness of VRCIT in children with unilateral CP, highlighting an important research gap. Aim: Evaluate the effectiveness of Virtual Reality-Augmented Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy and constraint-induced movement therapy only in improving unimanual upper limb function in children with unilateral cerebral palsy.

Effects of Nitraria Retusa Infusion on Clozapine-induced Metabolic Side Effects

The primary objective of the study is to assess the efficacy and tolerability of a 90-day daily supplementation with a Nitraria retusa dried crushed leaves infusion on the iatrogenic metabolic side effects induced in patients with treatment-resistant schizophrenia following clozapine treatment. After providing written informed consent, eligible patients with treatment-resistant schizophrenia will be invited to receive a daily Nitraria retusa extract infusion at approximately 9 PM for 90 consecutive days, as an adjunct to their usual medications. Patients will be instructed to maintain their usual diet, routine, and lifestyle throughout the study. Clinical and biological evaluations will be conducted prospectively at baseline (T0), day 10 (T1), day 45 (T2), and day 90 (T3). Two additional assessments will be planned at day 30 and day 60 to comply with the monthly complete blood count (CBC) surveillance recommended for patients receiving clozapine. Assessments include anthropometric measures, body composition, vital signs, CBC, metabolic panels, and renal and hepatic function. All biological samples were collected after a 12-hour fast.

Safety and Efficacy of Urtica Dioica Cataplasm in the Management of Osgood-Schlatter Disease in Young Athletes

The primary objective of this clinical trial is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a topical Urtica dioica cataplasm in managing knee pain and functional limitations in athletic children diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatter Disease. Efficacy will be assessed through changes in knee pain using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and functional outcomes using the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS). Three groups will be tested: * UDC Group: topical application of Urtica dioica cataplasm * Standard Care Group: oral vitamin D supplementation and physical rest * Placebo Group: topical application of a placebo cataplasm using Beta vulgaris subsp. cicla

Effect of Music on Mental and Physical Performance in Young Tennis Players

Optimal athletic performance is the result of a synergy between physical abilities and mental skills. Faced with increasing pressure in the world of tennis, athletes are constantly seeking new methods to optimize their performance. Music is a non-pharmacological tool that has demonstrated its effectiveness in reducing anxiety and improving sports performance. This innovative study explores the use of music as a tool to enhance the physical and mental abilities of young Tunisian tennis players. The results of this research could revolutionize training practices and offer new tools to help athletes reach their full potential. Work objectives: Evaluate the impact of a musical intervention on the physical and mental performance of athletes, particularly young tennis players.
