The Therapeutic Effects of Ceylon Cinnamon Supplementation and a Self-Efficacy Educational Program on Glycemic Control, Lipid Profiles, and Pain in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus With Painful Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

This randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate the therapeutic effects of pure Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) supplementation combined with a structured self-efficacy-based educational program on glycemic control, lipid profiles, and neuropathic pain in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (PDPN). A total of 900 participants will be randomly assigned to three parallel arms: a standard care control group, a Ceylon cinnamon supplementation group (1,000 mg/day), and a combined intervention group (Ceylon cinnamon supplementation plus the self-efficacy educational program) over a 6-month period. The study hypothesizes that the combined approach will significantly improve glycemic parameters, reduce neuropathic pain severity, and enhance metabolic profiles compared to standard care alone.

Effectiveness of a Self-Efficacy Based Educational Program on Glycemic Self-Monitoring, Diabetes Self-Management Knowledge, and Health-Related Quality of Life Among Adults With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

This randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a self-efficacy-based educational program on glycemic self-monitoring, diabetes self-management knowledge, and health-related quality of life among adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Participants will be randomly assigned to either an intervention group receiving the educational program or a control group receiving standard care. The educational program is designed to enhance patients' confidence (self-efficacy) in managing their condition, including blood glucose monitoring, adherence to treatment, lifestyle modification, and self-care practices. Outcomes will be assessed using validated tools to measure improvements in self-monitoring behaviors, knowledge, and quality of life. The findings of this study are expected to provide evidence on the effectiveness of educational interventions in improving diabetes management and patient outcomes.

Effectiveness of a Structured Educational Program on Pain Intensity, Self-Efficacy, Foot Self-Care Behaviors, and Health-Related Quality of Life Among Adults With Diabetic Foot

This randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a structured educational program on pain intensity, self-efficacy, foot self-care behaviors, and health-related quality of life among adults with diabetic foot. Diabetic foot complications are a major cause of morbidity, reduced quality of life, and disability among patients with diabetes mellitus. Poor self-care practices and inadequate knowledge contribute significantly to the progression of foot ulcers and related complications. Participants will be randomly assigned to either an intervention group or a control group. The intervention group will receive a structured educational program designed to improve knowledge, self-management skills, and adherence to recommended diabetic foot care practices. The control group will receive routine care provided by the healthcare facility. The educational program focuses on key areas including foot hygiene, daily foot inspection, appropriate footwear, glycemic control, and early identification of warning signs of complications. The primary outcomes of the study include changes in pain intensity, self-efficacy, foot self-care behaviors, and health-related quality of life, which will be assessed at baseline and after the intervention period. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to improving nursing educational interventions and enhancing self-management outcomes among patients with diabetic foot.
