This study will evaluate whether full pulpotomy can successfully treat mature permanent teeth with irreversible pulp inflammation and a periapical lesion. Full pulpotomy involves removing the inflamed pulp tissue from the crown of the tooth while preserving the healthy tissue inside the roots. The study will assess pain relief, patient satisfaction, and clinical and radiographic healing over time, including healing of the periapical lesion using dental X-rays and limited-field CBCT imaging. The findings may help determine whether full pulpotomy can provide a less invasive alternative to root canal treatment for selected teeth with periapical lesions.

Atelectasis is considered a common complication in the perioperative period, especially following surgeries under general anesthesia. Postoperative atelectasis could occur anytime during the perioperative period from intraoperative period to 24 hours postoperative and contribute to a variety of other complications, including hypoxemia and pneumonia. In the literature, several methods were utilized to combat this phenomenon, therefore, we investigate the role of intraoperative salbutamol in reducing the incidence of atelectasis. It is well known that salbutamol could be an adjunctive bronchodilator medication used in the intraoperative anesthetic regimens.

Shoulder pain is a well-recognized complaint following laparoscopic surgery. It is underlying mechanism has various causes, therefore, modalities in management and prevention of this sort of pain are numerous with different success rates. In the light of this, the investigators aim to compare an anesthetic management plan involving using ketamine (which is a known intraoperative anesthetic agent) to another not involving it for participants undergoing gastric sleeve, and compare the incidence and intensity of shoulder pain afterwards.

The goal of this clinical trial is to to evaluate the antiplaque and antigingivitis effect of pure green tea mouthwash compared to placebo and essential oils mouthwashes in healthy patients. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does pure green tea mouthwash effectively reduce dental plaque? * Does pure green tea mouthwash reduce gingival inflammation? Researchers will compare pure green tea mouthwash to Listerine Total Care, Listerine Green Tea, and placebo to see if there is a difference in plaque accumulation and gum inflammation reduction. Participants will be prohibited from using any sort of oral hygiene parctice for the whole study period (3 weeks). Instead, they will rinse with 10 ml of their assigned mouthwash twice daily for 30 seconds. Plaque index, gingival index, and staining index will be examined at multiple intervals and participants will rate their sense of oral freshness and good breath.

The goal of this clinical trial is to assess the effect of Nano-biofusion gingival gel (NBF) on wound healing at the palatal donor site following soft tissue graft surgery and compare it to placebo gel. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does NBF gel enhance wound healing after graft harvesting from the palate? * Does NBF gel reduce the number of inflammatory mediators after surgery? * Does NBF gel reduce pain and discomfort at the palatal donor site? Researchers will compare NBF gel to a placebo (a look-alike gel that does not contain the active ingredients) to see if NBF gel enhances wound healing. Study steps include: * Participants will apply the assigned gel on the surgical wound 4 times a day for 4 weeks. * Clinical photographs and measurements will be obtained on days (0, 1, 2, 4, 7, 15, 21, 30). * Wound fluid samples will be collected on days (0, 1, 2, 4, 7). * Participants will be asked about the level of pain and analgesic consumption on each follow-up visit.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of single versus multiple application protocols for in-office dental bleaching using two different bleaching gels (Pola Office Plus, SDI, 37.5% HP and Opalescence Boost, Ultradent, 40% HP) on the risk and intensity of tooth sensitivity, as well as the effect of the application protocol on the bleaching efficacy. Null hypothesis: There is no difference in intensity and risk of tooth sensitivity between single and multiple application of each gel and the application protocol dose not present significant effect on the bleaching efficacy.

Aims: The purpose of this randomized clinical trial is to assess and compare the post operative pain, swelling and quality of life after endodontic microsurgery using either conventional osteotomy or piezoelectric osteotomy . The PICO question that will be used is Does endodontic microsurgery using piezoelectric osteotomy have similar clinical performance in terms of post operative pain and swelling to that of endodontic microsurgery using conventional hand-piece osteotomy. Material and methods: based on solid inclusion criteria , a total of 44 patients in need of endodontic microsurgery will be randomly distributed into two groups (n=22) according to the osteotomy technique: conventional and piezoelectric osteotomy. A standardized microsurgical technique will be employed. After the microsurgery procedure, a pain questionnaire that contain visual analogue scale will be given to each patient to evaluate the pain incidence and intensity at 5 time intervals, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 96 hours and 120 hours. The patients will be recalled as well, at days 2 and 7 to evaluate the swelling. Statistical analysis will be performed using chi-square test and linear regression analysis.

One challenge faced by dental professionals is that, unlike natural tooth structure, composite restorations do not lighten when exposed to bleaching agents. As a result, functional restorations may need replacement after bleaching to match the newly whitened teeth. However, replacing a composite restoration can lead to unnecessary removal of tooth structure, potentially weakening the tooth and increasing its susceptibility to further iatrogenic damage. This study will investigate the ability of Omnichroma restorations to shade-match tooth structure after bleaching. The null hypotheses will be: 1. Single-shade RBC will not exhibit similar shade and optical behavior to conventional RBC across all anterior restorations following bleaching. 2. Patient satisfaction regarding color blending between the restoration and tooth structure will not differ according to the type of material used. 3. Dentist satisfaction regarding color blending between the restoration and tooth structure will not differ according to the type of material used.

The ability of single-shade composite restorations to blend with adjacent tooth structure shades is called chameleon effect. This effect is enhanced using specially designed spherical particles in the composite material which will help diffuse light in a way that mimics the natural color and translucency of teeth making the restoration nearly imperceptible to the naked eye. The hypotheses of the investigation are as follow: * Single-shade RBC exhibits similar shade matching and optical behavior to conventional RBC across all anterior restorations. * Patient satisfaction regarding color blending between the restoration and tooth structure is comparable regardless of the type of material used. * Dentist satisfaction regarding color blending is similar for both single-shade RBC and conventional RBC materials.

This study explores an alternative approach using a pre-heated restorative resin composite as a luting material of partial coverage restorations on upper and lower posterior teeth. It will follow a split-mouth design with 60 participants selected based on strict criteria. Assessment at 6 months and 1 year post-delivery utilizes a modified model of USPHS criteria, evaluating retention, color match, marginal discoloration, secondary caries, anatomical form, marginal adaptation, and surface roughness. The null hypothesis: The use of preheated resin composite for cementing partial coverage restoration will not result in significantly superior clinical performance when compared to that after using dual-cure resin cement.

Purpose: To assess diabetic foot ulcers (DFU)-related risk factors and complications among diabetes mellitus (DM) patients in Northern Jordan. Also, to analyze the impact of educational intervention on their behavior. Methods: The study consisted of two phases. Phase one was a prospective cross-sectional study of 200 DM patients, including 94 with a history of DFU, where demographic and clinical data were collected to assess diabetic foot-associated risk factors and complications. Phase two was a randomized clinical trial with 105 DM patients: 52 in the control group received standard care, while 53 in the intervention group received standard care supplemented with formal educational session and ongoing foot care education via mobile health by a clinical pharmacist. Foot care practices and medication adherence were evaluated at baseline and after 8 weeks of follow-up.

The aim of this study is to conduct the first clinical trial to assess the color stability and wear resistance of the highly filled injectable flowable composite materials compared to preheated conventional ones and evaluate the in vivo performance of the injectable composite technique.

The main aim of this randomized controlled clinical trial is to evaluate the efficacy of a bioactive glass desensitizer in reducing tooth sensitivity associated with in-office vital tooth bleaching. In addition, this study aims to compare the effectiveness of the bioactive glass desensitizer with that of a fluoride gel and a gel without desensitizing agent with regard to incidence, intensity, and duration of tooth sensitivity and, finally, to investigate how these agents affect tooth-shade following in-office bleaching. The hypothesis of the study is: There will be no difference in the effect of a bio-active glass desensitizer on tooth sensitivity associated with vital in-office tooth bleaching compared to a fluoride gel and the bio-active glass desensitizer has no effect on the bleaching efficacy.

Endodontic periradicular microsurgery is a dental procedure to treat apical periodontitis in cases in which healing has not occurred after non-surgical treatment or if it is not feasible. Recent advances in techniques and materials have resulted in more predictable outcomes. Piezotome is a new and innovative device, but limited evidence is available regarding its use in endodontics. The aim of this study is to assess the healing pattern of conventional periradicular microsurgery and piezoelectric periradicular microsurgery in 2- Dimensional and 3-Dimensional imaging, and further to perform histological analysis for the presence, location, and arrangement of bacteria in the excised apical portion of the root canal system.

Regenerative endodontic procedures are intended to replace damaged tooth structures, including dentine and root structures, in addition to cells of the pulp-dentine complex. This treatment modality have been tested on immature necrotic teeth because they are anticipated to have a greater chance of pulp tissue regeneration. However, it has been recently suggested for treating fully formed mature necrotic permanent teeth with closed apices since the conventional root canal treatment yielded many drawbacks. A number of studies have evaluated the regeneration outcomes of using blood clot as a scaffold. However, there are limited studies in the literature on using other scaffolds such as platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). This clinical study will evaluate clinically and radiographically the effectiveness of PRF versus induced bleeding in treating mature necrotic teeth. Fifty patients with necrotic mature teeth with periapical lesions will be invited to participate in this study. Teeth will be treated using calcium hydroxide as intracanal medicament then using PRF (n=25) and blood clot (n=25) as scaffold. All teeth will be sealed coronally using NeoMTA Plus™. Treated teeth will be assessed clinically and radiographically using 2D periapical radiographs. The reported clinical and radiographic outcomes will be compared using SPSS.
