The purpose of this study is to assess if Pain Ease vapocoolant spray decreases pain associated with lidocaine injection during Nexplanon insertion procedures.

The purpose of the study is to see if rapid syphilis testing at the time of a family planning (contraception or abortion) visit is acceptable and practical for patients. This study involves a fingerstick blood sample for syphilis testing during a family planning visit. Results will be ready in 10-15 minutes. Potential Benefits * Participants can find out whether they are syphilis positive or negative within the visit, as soon as 10-15 minutes of the finger stick. Typically, syphilis testing results take several days. * If positive, there is the option of starting treatment within the same day. Potential Risks * The study team will do everything possible to protect participants' privacy, including removing names and other identifiable information from study materials, however this is still a small chance there may be a breach of privacy during the study. * Physical risks of fingerstick are exceptionally rare when sterile technique is used. The study team will be using all best practices to reduce risk of infection or injury. * There is a risk of discomfort or pain with fingerstick collection. The risk of scarring is usually only associated with repeat draws, for example in patients with diabetes who have to do fingerstick draws multiple times per day. * There is a very small chance that the positive result is incorrect (also known as a "false positive"), meaning the participant does not actually have syphilis. To confirm the result, the investigators recommend that any positive rapid syphilis result be followed up with a blood test at the lab. Cost for Participation o There is no direct cost to participate in this study. After consent is signed, the participant received renumeration of $50 in form of gift card. If the participant tests positive for a syphilis infection, the participant or their health insurance will be responsible cover the costs of this medical treatment. If they do not have access to health insurance, the study team will connect the participant with agencies that have assisted patients with treatment at a reduced cost or free of cost.

This prospective clinical trial will evaluate PET/CT and genomic liquid biopsy based biomarkers as predictors of clinical therapeutic response to immune-checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy for patients with inoperable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The primary objective of this diagnostic trial is to assess the accuracy of pre-treatment fluorine-18 (18F-) fluorocholine (FCH) PET/CT for predicting a lack of objective response (LOR) after 16 weeks of ICI therapy.

This project aims to investigate if the contraceptive method, Phexxi, causes changes to the composition of the vaginal microbiome. The investigators hypothesize that regular use of Phexxi will cause increased colonization of lactic acid-producing lactobacilli, which could have positive effects in the way of preventing recurrent episodes of BV and candida infections.

The goal of this interventional study is to provide more access to STI testing for patients who seek abortion care through telemedicine, particularly for those whose access to STI testing is otherwise limited. The main questions it aims to answer are: What is the acceptability, feasibility, and utilization of self-collected STI screening at the time of telemedicine medication abortion provision? How does the uptake of such a service among patients receiving telemedicine abortion care compare to the population of patients who seek in-person medication abortion care? What are the positivity rates for STIs in among patients receiving telemedicine medication abortion care compared to the positivity rates for a contemporaneous, in-clinic population? What is the average time to between testing and treatment for patients who test positive for an STI using the self-collection service? Researchers will compare the intervention group to a contemporaneous, in-clinic population on uptake of STI screening, as well as on positivity rates for the STIs tested. Participants will be asked to perform self-swab collection for STI testing for gonorrhea, chlamydia, and trichomonas. They will be instructed to send their specimens to a lab using prepaid postage. Upon completion of sample collection and shipping, they will be asked to complete a survey assessing basic demographic information, as well as acceptability and feasibility of the intervention. Patients who test positive for an STI will be promptly provided/referred to treatment.
