Our study aims to investigate the associations between endometriosis-related pelvic pain and pelvic floor muscle strength, endurance, and relaxation ability, as well as quality of life, physical activity, and the presence of pelvic floor symptoms. Furthermore, it aims to assess the function of muscles synergistic with the pelvic floor in comparison with healthy controls.

Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) remains a leading cause of mortality worldwide, with survival highly dependent on the immediate initiation of bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Early recognition, prompt chest compressions, and rapid defibrillation are critical components of the chain of survival. Telephone-assisted CPR (T-CPR) provided by emergency dispatchers has been shown to significantly increase bystander intervention rates and improve outcomes. While the availability and use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) further enhance survival, the optimal integration of AED use into dispatcher-guided, single-rescuer scenarios remains insufficiently studied. This prospective, randomized, controlled simulation study aims to evaluate the effect of modified telephone cardiopulmonary resuscitation (T-CPR) instructions optimized for automated external defibrillator (AED) use on no-flow time and chest compression fraction (CCF) during single-rescuer resuscitation. Participants are randomized to receive either standard T-CPR instructions or enhanced instructions focusing on minimizing interruptions in chest compressions and reducing time to first compression during AED use.

The goal of this observational study is to evaluate the long-term clinical outcomes of physiologic cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) using conduction system pacing strategies compared with conventional biventricular CRT in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and electrical dyssynchrony. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does physiologic CRT (including left bundle branch area pacing \[LBBAP\] and LBBAP-optimized CRT) reduce the combined risk of all-cause mortality and heart failure hospitalization compared with conventional biventricular CRT? * Does physiologic CRT improve cardiac function and reverse ventricular remodeling more effectively than conventional CRT? Participants receiving physiologic CRT as part of routine clinical care will undergo standard follow-up evaluations, including electrocardiography, echocardiography, laboratory testing, and device interrogation. Clinical outcomes will be collected prospectively for 24 months and compared with a historical cohort of patients treated with conventional biventricular CRT. The study will assess clinical outcomes, echocardiographic response, electrical resynchronization parameters, and device-related safety in a real-world heart failure population.

Our aim is to evaluate chlorhexidine-hyaluronic acid containing gel on postoperative wound healing regarding impacted lower third molar surgery.

Anemia is a frequent complication of gastrointestinal bleeding, affecting 61% of the patients. Currently, anemia caused by gastrointestinal bleeding can be treated with iron supplementation. However, the dose and route of the administration are still a question. The FIERCE clinical trial aims to compare the effect of intravenous iron supplementation and oral iron replacement on mortality, unplanned emergency visits, and hospital readmissions in multimorbid patients with acute nonvariceal gastrointestinal bleeding.

Newborns have thermoregulatory mechanisms that differ from those of adults. Instead of producing heat through shivering, newborns primarily rely on non-shivering thermogenesis by the brown adipose tissue. The development of this thermogenic tissue starts around the 26th gestational week and continues until shortly before birth, after which no further growth occurs. As a result, premature infants, who have less developed brown fat, are more prone to reduced heat production and are at higher risk for hypothermia. There are few human studies examining the thermoregulatory differences and mechanisms between full-term and premature neonates, and the findings remain inconclusive. In this study, the investigators aim to conduct a prospective, observational research. Researchers will compare body temperature, brown adipose tissue activity, and specific plasma markers between full-term and premature neonates in insensive care units and during elective surgeries.

The goal of this observational study is to investigate integrative fertility awareness and its impact on assisted reproductive techniques (ART) in Hungary. It analyzes fertility awareness, health-movement behavior, physical literacy, dietary patterns, psycho-social distress, socio-demographic parameters, and stress biomarkers across four fertility centers. The study employs a mixed-method approach. The research aims to review and analyze the factors of integrative fertility awareness on the course and outcome measures of assisted reproductive techniques (ART) at different fertility centers in Hungary in a mixed-method study.

The aim of our cross-sectional research is to assess changes in physical activity, functional capacity, and health status in individuals with colorectal and anal carcinoma using subjective measurement tools, with particular focus on those suffering from incontinence, through a cross-sectional study. Additionally, the research involves the Hungarian adaptation and validation of the quality of life questionnaire for colorectal cancer (EORTC QLQ-CR29), quality of life questionnaire for anal cancer (EORTC QLQ-AN27), and Fecal Incontinence Severity Index (FISI)" questionnaires.

This investigation examines the most important cardiovascular risk factors (e.g., metabolic parameters, body composition) and their changes in coeliac disease. The series of studies allow to assess body composition and cardiovascular risk-related metabolic parameters of newly diagnosed and treated coeliac patients in their complexity and to test if they change during therapy. The interventional part of the investigation aims to answer the question if a dietary intervention mitigates the unfavorable effects of unbalanced diet.

The goal of this self-initiated questionnaire-based follow-up clinical trial is to map the body image and physical activity of Hungarian women treated for breast cancer. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. How body image changes during different treatments among women treated for breast cancer? 2. How is physical activity among Hungarian women treated for breast cancer?

This clinical trial aims to develop and test a yoga intervention to improve cortisol hormone rhythm, immunoglobulin A, and metabolic markers among medical students. The development of the yoga protocol, "GSY Goodbye Stress with Yoga Proto-col," was a collaborative effort involving a certified yoga trainer, medical researcher, and experienced yogis from India. GSY yoga intervention, which includes yoga asanas poses, breathing techniques, and guided meditation, may reduce stress levels, improve immunity, and enhance other metabolic parameters in medical students.

The main purpose of the study is to investigate the therapeutic effect of the thermal water of Győr (Gyirmót) well No. B-308 OKK on patients with knee arthrosis, and to compare its therapeutic effect with tap water (placebo) group.

The aim of the study is to assess the prevalence of anal incontinence among Hungarian women who have given birth at least once before, and to examine the impact of anal incontinence on the quality of life and physical activity of these women. A further aim of our study is to adapt the Hungarian version of the International Consultation on Incontinence Modular Questionnaire - Bowels (ICIQ-B) and to assess its validity and reliability.

Recurrence of acute pancreatitis (AP) is often facilitated by regular alcohol consumption and smoking. An applied lifestyle intervention focusing on the cessation of alcohol consumption and smoking might prevent the recurrence of AP. REAPPEAR Study is a randomized controlled trial and a cohort study focusing on the efficacy of the lifestyle intervention and the effect of quitting alcohol and smoking respectively.

This trial aims to test the effects of two different diets on the recurrence of acute pancreatitis, and acute pancreatitis associated mortality.

The aim of our study is to prospectively collect information regarding (1) the demographic, lifestyle-related and clinical characteristics of patients with head and neck cancer and (2) the waiting times to diagnosis and therapy, and the 1-, 3- and 5-year survival of patients. We plan to gain insight into the characteristics and pathways of head and neck cancer patients in Baranya County, which can in turn help to identify factors that lead to improved or worse disease outcomes. (Thus, these factors can subsequently eliminated or lessened to improve the outcome of head and neck cancer patients. )

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a functional gastrointestinal disease. There is no well-defined pharmacological treatment. This clinical trial is a prospective, double-blind, two-armed randomized controlled, single-center trial. It is created to examine the role of IBS in patients with lactose intolerance. IBS patients undergo lactose H2 breath test (LHBT) and lactose tolerance test (LTT). Those with positive LTT and LHBT will be randomized into two groups: alverine-citrate + simethicone and lactase group (1) or alverin-citrate + simethicone with the placebo group (2). The goal of this study is to compare the lactase enzyme with placebo in IBS patients with lactose intolerance.

The first alarming symptom of a malignancy of the pancreas or periampullary tumor can be obstructive jaundice (OJ). Pancreato-duodenectomy (PD) combined with oncological treatment can provide long disease-free survival in resectable cases. The literature regarding the preoperative biliary drainage is controversial. The aim of this multicenter, prospective observational cohort study is to investigate the role of preoperative drainage, and to compare it with surgery alone.
