Westlake Longevity Cohort

The Westlake Longevity Cohort (We-Longevity) is a prospective cohort study among centenarians, nonagenarians and senior citizens living in Zhejiang Province, China. The primary aim of this cohort is to characterize the multi-omics molecular characteristics of healthy longevity and their dynamic trajectories. The second aim is to culture the gut microbiota of these elderly people through culturomics. The third aim of We-Longevity is to investigate the association of dietary and lifestyle with the multi-omics molecular characteristics of healthy longevity, and to facilitate the development of personalized nutritional/lifestyle recommendation for the public.

Study of Clostridioides Difficile in Infants

Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) poses an increasing threat to infant and young child health, with detection rates rising annually. This retrospective study aims to explore the epidemiological characteristics, clinical manifestations, and potential biomarkers of CDI in children aged 0-2 years by examining three cohorts: (1) infants diagnosed with CDI, (2) asymptomatic carriers of C. difficile, and (3) healthy controls. Fecal samples from each group will undergo metagenomic sequencing and metabolomic profiling, coupled with questionnaire-based surveys for risk factor assessment. The findings are anticipated to identify key high-risk factors, elucidate the pathogenic mechanisms underlying infant CDI, and support the development of early diagnostic tools and preventive strategies.

A Study of the Efficacy of Troxerutin in Preventing Thrombotic Events in COVID-19 Patients

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if troxerutin works to prevent thrombotic events in mild or severe COVID-19 patients. It will also learn about the safety of troxerutin. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does troxerutin lower the number of thrombotic events in participants? * What medical problems do participants have when taking troxerutin? Researchers will compare troxerutin to a placebo (a look-alike substance that contains no drug) to see if troxerutin works to prevent thrombotic events in COVID-19 patients. Participants will: * Take troxerutin or a placebo every day for 7 days. * Visit the clinic at the first, fourth, seventh and 28th days after enrollment for checkups and tests * Keep a diary of their symptoms and the number of times of thrombotic events, bleeding events and type II HIT-related thrombocytopenia
