About this trial
This study aims to evaluate the acute effect of standardized taping of the dominant ankle on lower limb asymmetry during the countermovement jump (CMJ) test in healthy judokas. Forty healthy, active judokas aged 18-35 years will perform CMJ testing under two conditions: with and without standardized ankle taping. Lower limb asymmetry and selected biomechanical parameters will be measured using the Meloq EasyBase force platform. The results may improve understanding of the effects of ankle taping on jumping performance and contribute to injury prevention strategies in sport.
Eligibility criteria
Qualifiers
Healthy male and female judo athletes aged 18-35 years.
Regular participation in judo training (minimum 3 training sessions per week).
No musculoskeletal injury of the lower extremities within the previous 6 months.
Willingness to participate and provide written informed consent.
Disqualifiers
Current pain or injury affecting the lower extremities or spine.
Previous lower-limb surgery.
Neurological, vestibular, or balance disorders.
Allergy or intolerance to adhesive sports tape.
