About this trial

The study will recruit patients having diabetes mellitus; where they will be asked to answer a questionnaire after obtaining an informed consent.

Eligibility criteria

This trial does not accept healthy volunteers

Qualifiers

1. Patients with Diabetes Mellitus aged 18 years old and more. 2. Patients willing to participate in the study.

Disqualifiers

1. Patients refusing to participate in the study. 2. Handicapped patients.

The questionnaire consists of six main sections: (A) Socio-demographic information, (B) Diabetes-related information, (C) Oral health status and practices, (D) Awareness of the bidirectional relationship between diabetes and periodontal disease, (E) Perceived barriers to oral healthcare, and (F) Educational needs.

The awareness of the bidirectional link between diabetes and periodontal disease among diabetic patients.
