The Social Needs Assistance for Hospitalized Kids Trial

The goal of this clinical trial is to determine the best way to help families access social and economic support services in order to improve children's health for hospitalized children and their families/caregivers. The main question it aims to answer is, does providing active assistance from navigators to connect families to social/economic resources lead to greater improvements in child global health compared to providing passive referrals to resources among hospitalized children? All families will receive a tailored information sheet with referrals to community resources to address their social/economic needs and an introduction to how to search for resources using an online program. Researchers will compare families who receive these resources with families who also receive support from trained navigators, people with knowledge about local resources trained to connect families with resources. The study will examine whether the addition of navigator support improves families' access to services and children's health outcomes.

Addressing Social Needs to Improve Health in Adults With Multiple Chronic Conditions

The investigators will conduct a comparative effectiveness randomized clinical trial with two "active comparator" arms. The investigators will evaluate the two current, usual care strategies (higher intensity "telephonic navigation" vs. lower intensity "virtual outreach") for addressing social needs among patients with multiple chronic conditions.

Evaluation of the Accuracy of the eCential Robotics Robot in Spinal Surgery

Spinal surgery has evolved considerably over the years, and the introduction of advanced technologies has played a crucial role in improving clinical outcomes. The use of surgical robots, such as the eCential Robotic system, has emerged as an innovative solution for optimizing the precision and safety of procedures, particularly the placement of pedicle screws in the spine. The eCential Robotics surgical robot offers several advantages for the placement of pedicle screws in the spine. Various studies have demonstrated a significant improvement in screw accuracy and stability, reducing revision surgery rates with surgical robots. The system enables advanced preoperative planning based on three-dimensional imaging, improving understanding of the patient's specific anatomy. This study will also provide a clinical basis for the CE marking process. The objective of this prospective study is to collect data confirming safety, performance and clinical benefits of the eCential Robotics robot when used during spine and pelvic surgeries.
