Mobile Game Simulation for Nursing Students' Decision-Making

This study will test whether an interactive mobile game-based simulation program helps first-year nursing students improve their decision-making and problem-solving skills. Students will complete knowledge, decision-making, and problem-solving assessments before and after taking part in a 4-week program (8 sessions) that uses mobile game scenarios to practice clinical decisions in a safe, simulated setting. The results will show whether this type of training is more effective than traditional teaching methods for building these skills.

CORRELATION BETWEEN FORWARD HEAD POSTURE, CERVICAL MUSCLES ENDURANCE, AND PROPRIOCEPTIVE FUCTIONS IN CERVICOGENIC HEADACHE AMONG LATE ADOLESCENT STUDENTS.

Forward Head Posture (FHP) is a common postural deviation characterized by anterior translation of the head relative to the trunk, which increases load on cervical muscles and joints. This postural change is associated with muscle fatigue, joint compression, and tension in cervical soft tissues, contributing to cervicogenic headache (Al-Mutairi et al., 20242; Koseoglu et al., 2023). The deep cervical flexor (DCF) muscles, especially the longus colli and longus capitis, are key stabilizers of the cervical spine, and weakness or fatigue of these muscles leads to overuse of superficial muscles such as the sternocleidomastoid and anterior scalene, creating an imbalance between deep and superficial systems. Diminished endurance of deep cervical flexors has been linked to forward head posture, impaired motor control, and persistent neck pain (Ismail et al., 2023). Cervical proprioception is crucial for accurate head position sense. Impaired cervical proprioception results in distorted information about head orientation, causing dizziness, incoordinated movement, and neck discomfort, and has been frequently observed in juniors with cervicogenic headache, increasing muscular strain and headache intensity. In the present study, therefore, we aim to investigate the correlation between FHP, cervical endurance, and proprioceptive function in junior students with cervicogenic headache

Children With Surgically Corrected Acyanotic Congenital Heart Disease

The goal of this quasi-experimental pretest-posttest controlled study is to learn whether moderate-intensity treadmill exercise can improve gait kinematics, walking capacity, and motor performance in preschool children aged 48-72 months with surgically corrected acyanotic congenital heart disease. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does moderate-intensity treadmill training improve gait kinematics, including stride length, walking speed, and double-stance percentage? Does moderate-intensity treadmill training improve walking capacity and balance in children with surgically corrected acyanotic congenital heart disease? Researchers compared children with surgically corrected acyanotic congenital heart disease who received treadmill training with age-matched healthy children to see whether the exercise program could reduce gait, balance, and walking-capacity differences between the groups. Participants with congenital heart disease completed: Four treadmill walking sessions per week for 10 weeks. Moderate-intensity walking at approximately 70% of maximal heart rate. Pre- and post-intervention assessments of gait kinematics using three-dimensional motion analysis. Balance assessment using the Pediatric Balance Scale. Walking capacity assessment using the six-minute walk test.

Effect of TECAR on Cervical Radiculopathy

Cervical radiculopathy is characterized by pain, sensory disturbances, and impaired neuromuscular control due to nerve root compression. Proprioception dysfunction is often an overlooked component of this condition and can affect balance, posture, and motor control. TECAR (Transfer of Energy Capacitive and Resistive) therapy is a form of deep heat electrotherapy known to improve tissue perfusion and neuromuscular function. Although TECAR is widely used for pain relief and mobility, its role in improving proprioception remains under-investigated, especially in cervical conditions. This study aims to bridge this gap by assessing proprioceptive outcomes in patients with cervical radiculopathy receiving TECAR therapy.
