Outcomes of the Proprioception and Strengthening Exercise Program in Chronic Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain, and although stretching exercises are a standard first-line treatment, current evidence on adding proprioception or knee-strengthening exercises remains limited. This study investigates whether adding knee strengthening or proprioception exercises to a standard stretching program improves pain, function, and disability in patients with chronic plantar fasciitis, and whether these interventions produce measurable changes in the biomechanical and kinesiological properties of the foot, ankle, and knee.

Action Observation and Motor Imagery Therapy in Stroke

In recent years, motor imagery (MI) and action observation (AO) therapy strategies have been used in rehabilitation programs to increase motor learning in stroke. Visuomotor training strategies such as AO and MI therapy rely on the activity of the mirror neuron system to facilitate motor re-learning. Mirror neurons are activated during the performance of goal-directed actions, also when observing the same action and visualizing the action in the mind. This clinical trial aims to test whether the application of AO and MI treatment in stroke in addition to conventional rehabilitation programs has an additional effect on motor recovery, activities of daily living, and quality of life.

Does Edema Affect the Adjustment of TENS Amplitude

The goal of this pre-post clinical trial is to compare the amplitude settings of three different frequency TENS modes (Conventional TENS, LF TENS, HF TENS) in patients who had undergone total knee arthroplasty, both with the preoperative state and with the contralateral knee. The main question it aims to answer is: Can the electrical resistance of edematous tissue be affected and change the TENS amplitude setting? Participants will be evaluated before and after surgery. For each TENS modulation the amplitude at which tingling is felt, the current is clearly felt, and is maximum tolerated and/or muscle contraction occurred, will be documented. TENS amplitudes for all three TENS modes will be compared, both with the preoperative state and with the contralateral knee.

Blood Pressure Response to Exercise and Aortic Stiffness in Patients With Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic Syndrome

Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic (CKM) syndrome is a recently defined clinical syndrome characterized by the coexistence and interaction of cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, and metabolic disorders, including obesity, dyslipidemia, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Individuals with CKM syndrome commonly exhibit vascular dysfunction, endothelial impairment, arterial stiffness, and an increased risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Although exaggerated blood pressure response during exercise has been recognized as an early marker of future hypertension and adverse cardiovascular outcomes, its relationship with aortic stiffness in patients with CKM syndrome has not been adequately investigated. The aim of this observational study is to evaluate the association between blood pressure response during a clinically indicated exercise stress test and aortic stiffness in adults with CKM syndrome. Eighty patients with physician-diagnosed CKM syndrome who are referred for routine exercise stress testing in the cardiology outpatient clinic will be enrolled. Blood pressure will be measured immediately before and after the exercise test. Aortic stiffness will be assessed using transthoracic echocardiography by calculating the aortic stiffness index (β-index) from systolic and diastolic aortic diameters and concurrent blood pressure measurements. Demographic characteristics, anthropometric measurements, cardiovascular risk factors, medication use, lifestyle characteristics, and clinical data will also be collected. The findings may clarify whether blood pressure response during routine exercise testing can serve as a simple, non-invasive indicator of increased aortic stiffness and improve cardiovascular risk stratification in individuals with CKM syndrome.

THE EFFECTS OF CIRCADIAN RHYTHM-BASED PROGRESSIVE RELAXATION EXERCISES IN HEMODIALYSIS PATIENTS

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of Progressive Relaxation Exercise (PGE) applied according to the circadian rhythms of hemodialysis (HD) patients on symptom management, sleep quality, comfort and mental well-being levels and to examine the experiences of HD patients regarding PGE application. A sequential mixed method research design will be used in the study. The quantitative part of the study was planned as a randomized controlled double-blind experimental study. The qualitative part will be conducted as a qualitative research to be carried out with individual in-depth interview method in order to examine the opinions of the individuals in the intervention group regarding the 8-week PGE applied according to the circadian rhythm. In the collection of research data, the Introductory Information Form, Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ), Dialysis Symptom Index, Hemodialysis Comfort Scale - Version II, Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (WEMIOÖ), Individual Follow-up Form, Progressive Relaxation Exercise Application Guideline (PGEUY) and In-Depth Interview Form with Individuals in the Intervention Group will be used.

The Effect of Two Different Cognitive-Behavioral Combined Programs in Blood Collection

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of two different cognitive-behavioral combined programs, including video games or kaleidoscope, on the pain, fear and anxiety experienced by children who apply for therapeutic or diagnostic venous blood collection, and their parents' satisfaction levels. In addition, this research aims to create a holistic approach to child health due to the evaluation of both children and parents. The population of the research will be children aged 8-10 who come to the Children's Blood Collection Unit of Karaman Training and Research Hospital between February 2022 and March 2022. The sample of the study will consist of 96 children and their parents who applied to the Blood Collection Unit on the specified dates, met the inclusion criteria and agreed to participate in the study. The pediatric blood collection unit provides service between 08:00 and 16:00 on weekdays. In order to determine the number of samples, power analysis was performed using the G\*Power (v3.1.9) program. It was planned to carry out the research with a total of 96 children and their parents, 32 in each group, considering possible case losses during the research period. Evaluation of the data will be done in the computer environment with the SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) 22.0 package program. Percentage distributions, mean, standard deviation, chi-square test, analysis of variance will be used in the analysis of the data. In addition, the variance of the groups will be examined with the Levene test in order to make further analysis. In cases where the variance is equal, Bonferroni analysis will be used in post hoc advanced analyses, and Dunnett T3 analysis will be used in cases where the variance is not equal. The research findings will be evaluated at the 95% confidence interval, at the p\<0.05 significance level.

Effects of Core Stabilization Exercises in Children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate the effects of core stabilization exercises applied in addition to the conventional exercise program on physical function, functional muscle strength, functional exercise capacity, postural control and fatigue in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia receiving maintenance treatment. Participants will be divided into two groups; the first group will be given a conventional exercise program, while the second group will be given core stabilization exercises in addition to the conventional exercise program.
