The purpose of this protocol is to compare neoadjuvant chemoradiation plus consolidation chemotherapy before surgical resection with the standard neoadjuvant chemoradiation followed by surgical resection and adjuvant chemotherapy in patients with rectal cancer.

The goal of this observational study is to learn if certain factors in a person's blood are linked to a history of venous thromboembolic disease (VTED), which includes conditions like deep vein thrombosis. Lewis system antigens are natural markers found on red blood cells. Past research suggests that people without these specific markers might have a higher chance of developing heart disease, but the link to blood clots in veins is not well understood. This study aims to answer: * Are certain Lewis antigen types more common in people with a history of VTE? * Do the Lewis antigen results relate to other known blood clot risk factors? Researchers will identify Lewis a and b antigens in 100 participants who attend the Haemostasis Disorders Clinic at the University Hospital of Larissa. All participants are people with a personal history of deep vein thrombosis, with or without an inherited or acquired tendency for blood clots. Researchers will also record other known risk factors for VTED for each participant. This study is self-funded.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common and aggressive primary tumor of the adult central nervous system (CNS), with a poor prognosis and median overall survival ranging between 14 to 20 months despite advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. This prospective, observational, multicenter study aims to collect and analyze comprehensive data from GBM patients treated across selected centers in Europe and the United States, the investigators' centers included. Information will include demographics, imaging findings, molecular subtypes, clinical status, surgical strategies, postoperative management, complications, and follow-up data. Patients over 18 years old with radiographic evidence of GBM who provide informed consent will be included. Surgical interventions will vary, ranging from biopsy to supramaximal resections, based on individual patient and surgeon decisions. Key outcomes of interest include overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS). Secondary endpoints include perioperative complications, extent of resection (EoR), pre- and postoperative Karnofsky Performance Scores (KPS), hospital stay duration, and identification of risk factors influencing OS and functional outcomes. Patient monitoring will include standardized follow-up at one, three, and six months postoperatively, and quarterly thereafter or as clinically indicated. Statistical analysis will be conducted using R software, applying descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, logistic and linear regression, and assessing statistical significance at p \< 0.05. Results will also be expressed in odds ratios with 95% confidence intervals. This study seeks to define optimal surgical strategies based on patient-specific factors and contribute to improved, personalized treatment pathways for GBM management.

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the new asymmetric nasal high flow interface with the conventional high flow nasal cannula in patients with COPD exacerbation. The main questions the study aims to answer are: • Does the use of the asymmetric interface lead to: 1. A greater decrease in the patients' carbon dioxide 2. A greater decrease in respiratory rate and less dyspnea 3. Less need for advanced oxygen therapy measures 4. Same tolerance and comfort 5. Lower heart rate and blood pressure Participants will be asked to: Wear the asymmetric and conventional cannulas for 3 hours each with a 30 minute gap in-between. Arterial blood samples and various clinical parameters will be collected throughout the study period. Researchers will compare the effect of asymmetric versus conventional cannulas to answer the aforementioned questions.

The purpose of this research protocol is to compare open versus laparoscopic right colectomy (according to the CME technique of complete mesocolic excision) for right colon cancer. This study will be designed as a prospective randomized controlled trial. The comparison of the two techniques will include endpoints regarding the quality characteristics of the specimens and the oncological results. In addition, the effectiveness of the two methods will be evaluated in terms of the early and late postoperative period.

The purpose of this research protocol is the evaluation of the improvement of the anorectal and urogenital urinary function, alongside the postoperative quality of life after the application of pIONM in patients submitted to TME for rectal cancer.

The goal of this study randomized single-center crossover study is to evaluate the impact of asymmetrical versus symmetrical nasal high flow (NHF) therapy on work of breathing (WOB). The main question it aims to answer are: 1\. Does the asymmetrical NHF interface improve the work of breathing compared to the symmetrical NHF interface? Researchers will compare the symmetrical NHF interface to the symmetrical NHF interface to see if the the asymmetrical interface has a greater impact on the work of breathing. Participants will : 1. receive NHF via both interfaces (FiO₂ 0.21, 50 L/min) for 15 minutes, in random order, with esophageal pressure monitoring and bioelectrical impedance analysis performed. 2. baseline characteristics will me monitored throughout the interventions 3. Esophageal pressure and minute ventilation will be monitored.
