This prospective, single-center, observational controlled cohort study aims to evaluate the effects of menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) on breast imaging findings and carotid intima-media thickness in postmenopausal women. A total of 120 postmenopausal women will be enrolled. Participants will be observed in two groups according to their clinical management: women receiving systemic menopausal hormone therapy (n=70) and women not receiving systemic menopausal hormone therapy (n=50). Breast imaging findings, breast density, menopausal symptoms, endometrial findings, cardiometabolic parameters, and carotid intima-media thickness will be prospectively evaluated during a 12-month follow-up period.

To determine the anxiety levels of patients undergoing spinal anesthesia before surgery and to observe the effect of this anxiety level on vasovagal events that may be observed during spinal anesthesia.

Inguinal hernia repair is one of the most commonly performed surgical procedures worldwide and presents challenges in anesthesia selection and postoperative pain management. Spinal anesthesia is frequently preferred due to its advantages, such as avoiding neuromuscular blockers and endotracheal intubation. Effective postoperative analgesia is essential for improving patient comfort and reducing opioid consumption. The anterior iliac block, a recently described technique, has emerged as a potential alternative to conventional regional anesthesia methods, offering wider nerve coverage and possibly improved analgesia. However, evidence regarding its efficacy and safety remains limited. This study aims to evaluate the effect of the anterior iliac block on postoperative analgesia duration and patient satisfaction in patients undergoing inguinal hernia surgery.

The aim of our study was to compare the effects of interscalene block alone and the combination of interscalene block and superficial cervical block on cerebral oxygenation, carotid artery diameter, intraoperative hemodynamics, laboratory parameters, clinical course and postoperative pain in patients undergoing shoulder surgery.
