In this study, the effects of blood gas perturbations on neuromuscular function of the diaphragm and lower limbs at rest and during exercise will be investigated.

The ReHandyBot (RHB) is a robot for hand rehabilitation after stroke. The aims of this study are to investigate (i) the generalizability of unsupervised therapy with the ReHandyBot within patients' home after discharge from a clinic, (ii) compliance, as measured by the amount of unsupervised robot-assisted therapy dose (e.g., therapy time) performed by the subjects after discharge, (iii) the usability of ReHandyBot and user experience during robot-assisted therapy, and (iv) the effect of the increase in therapy dose achieved with our device compared to standard care. The study consists of two primary phases. The first is a familiarization phase conducted at the clinic, where therapists teach participants how to perform the exercises using the robot. Then, if capable of training with the robot safely, after discharge from the clinic, participants can bring the robot home and autonomously train with it. The hypothesis is that unsupervised therapy might be a possible way to increase therapy dose for stroke patients, with the potential to further improve recovery of hand function, with minimal additional burden for therapists and for the healthcare system.

Current guidelines advocate that ARVC patients, typically young and active individuals with a significant history of competitive endurance sports, cease endurance training in favour of activities with low cardiac burden such as bowling and golf. Empirically, it is often suggested that heart rate during exercise should not exceed 100-120 bpm in these patients, but these guidelines are arbitrary and not scientifically based. In practice, it is estimated that up to 50% of patients do not comply with these recommendations . Adequate quantification of the arrhythmogenic burden, defined as premature ventricular beats in proportion to all heart beats in each period of time, and cardiac load (defined as stroke volume for volume load and systolic blood pressure for pressure load) experienced by ARVC patients when performing different types of physical exercise would be a first step towards designing a safe and effective intervention so that these patients can profit from an active life style. This study therefore aims to quantify and describe the arrhythmogenic burden and cardiac load experienced by patients with ARVC while performing different physical exercise over a range of intensities - all strictly within the range currently recommended by different cardiological societies.

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate whether using the ReHandyBot hand rehabilitation device together with the RehabCoach smartphone app can support safe, independent, and effective home therapy in patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, or orthopedic problems. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Can patients safely and independently use ReHandyBot and RehabCoach after leaving the clinic? * Will patients follow the recommended daily therapy schedule when using these tools at home? * How do patients experience the usability and acceptability of ReHandyBot and RehabCoach in everyday life? * Can this type of home-based therapy be extended to populations beyond stroke, such as traumatic brain injury and orthopedic patients? Participants will: * Complete a screening and baseline assessment with a therapist. * Use ReHandyBot in a supervised phase at the clinic (3 sessions of 30 minutes). * Continue with a minimally supervised phase at the clinic (3-7 sessions of 30 minutes, with daily app use). * If ready, enter the unsupervised phase, taking ReHandyBot home for daily 30-minute training sessions, supported by RehabCoach. * Return for a final assessment including clinical and robotic evaluations and usability feedback.

Serum ferritin is a key indicator of body iron stores and is widely used in monitoring iron status. However, oral iron doses can acutely elevate SF levels, potentially biasing assessments of iron stores during supplementation. This study aims to investigate the extent and duration of the acute iron-induced effect on serum ferritin following the administration of a daily iron dose for two months.

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), defined as hyperglycemia with blood glucose values above normal but below those diagnostic of DM, and iron deficiency (ID) with or without anemia (IDA) are common during pregnancy. Both disease patterns are associated with an increased risk of complications during pregnancy and at delivery and may have a variety of negative effects on different aspects of child development. Thus, GDM and ID/IDA during pregnancy should be prevented. Whether iron supplementation with high oral doses acutely increases hepcidin during pregnancy, and whether this acute iron-induced increase in hepcidin decreases insulin sensitivity, is uncertain.

Upper limb impairments are often a result of neurological or traumatic injuries (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injuries). These impairments may decrease independence in performing activities of daily living, severely affecting patients' quality of life. Growing evidence shows that increasing upper limb therapy dose for patients could improve functional outcomes and prevent their long-term deterioration. However, due to limited resources (e.g., the number of therapists) and high rehabilitation-related costs, providing a higher therapy dose to patients is challenging, both in the clinic and after discharge, and finding new models of care is therefore critical. Minimally supervised or unsupervised robot-assisted therapy (i.e., patients training with rehabilitation devices with minimal to no supervision of an external person) holds the promise of allowing an increase in therapy dose with little impact on the additional resources needed. Because of their ability to provide active support and measure a wide set of parameters, actuated (active) rehabilitation robots seem to be the best solution for this therapy setting. However, such devices are often complex to use and have never been extensively tested minimally or unsupervised. Consequently, the data available on their feasibility and cost-effectiveness is limited. At the Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory (RELab, ETH Zurich), we developed ReHandyBot, an actuated device for unsupervised upper limb therapy. The device has already been tested with stroke patients in an unsupervised setting, with positive results regarding usability and increase in therapy dose. The main goal of this project is, therefore, to investigate the feasibility and cost of our robot-assisted continuum of care model (i.e., from inpatient to ambulatory). Specifically, we aim to evaluate the feasibility of integrating ReHandyBot into the clinical routine and perform a preliminary cost-benefit analysis of supervised, minimally supervised, and unsupervised robot-assisted therapy. Furthermore, we will also gather data on the overall dose of robot-assisted therapy and the intensity of use of the device in a clinical and ambulatory setting.

This observational study's main goal is to learn more about the neural mechanisms during movement in Parkinson's disease. Furthermore, it aims to inspire personalised treatment options. Participants will undergo a protocol that involves walking and gait-related motor tasks, such as seated stepping. During the protocol, brain activity will be recorded.
