Treatment of CKD Patients With HCV

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the optimal drug therapy of HCV in CKD Patients different stages with or without compensated cirrhosis. The main questions it aims to answer are: outcome measure 1: Efficacy of the treatment by the assessment of sustained virological response (SVR12) following 12 weeks after the last dose HCV RNA drop to undetectable levels. outcome measure 2: Safety of the treatment by comparing the biochemical parameters before and after treatment. If there is a comparison group: Researchers will compare biochemical parameters of the participants before and after treatment to see if there is any decline in the general health. Participants will be divided to two groups according to their kidney status depending on their GFR, Group 1: 25 CKD Patients with eGFR more than 30ml/min with HCV infection and will receive Sofosbuvir and Daclatasvir regimen for 12 weeks, Group 2: 25 CKD Patients with eGFR less than 30ml/min with HCV infection and will receive Paritaprevir, Ombitasvir, Ritonavir and Ribavirin for 12 weeks.

Allopurinol in Depression

Major depressive disorder (MDD) is one of the most common psychiatric disorders with serious socioeconomic consequences on daily life and health care costs. Despite the advent of newer antidepressants that target monoamine pathways, nearly 50% of patients have no response to first-line antidepressant therapy. Thus, a combination of medications with different strategies at the beginning of treatment could provide further therapeutic benefits to MDD patients.

3D Printing Orientation and Film Thickness for Maxillary Complete Dentures

This randomized crossover clinical trial aims to evaluate the effect of different three-dimensional (3D) printing orientations and layer thicknesses on the trueness, dimensional accuracy, and patient satisfaction of maxillary complete dentures in completely edentulous patients. Each participant will receive two maxillary 3D-printed complete dentures fabricated using the same printing orientation (0°, 45°, or 90°) with two different layer thicknesses (50 μm and 100 μm) in a crossover sequence. The study will compare the influence of these printing parameters on denture accuracy and patient-reported outcomes to identify the optimal 3D printing settings for complete denture fabrication.

Dysphagia in Rheumatoid Arthritis

The primary goal of this cross-sectional study is to assess risk factors/predictors for dysphagia in RA. The secondary goals include demonstrating whether flexible fiberoptic pharyngolaryngoscopy can detect joint-affection-induced dysphagia in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and whether both oropharyngeal and esophageal dysphagia are present among these patients. The main questions it aims to answer are * What are the predictors that are associated with dysphagia via flexible fiberoptic pharyngolaryngoscopy in rheumatoid arthritis patients? * Whether flexible fiberoptic pharyngolaryngoscopy can detect joint-affection-induced dysphagia in patients with RA? * Whether both oropharyngeal and esophageal dysphagia are present in patients with RA?
