Effect of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) on Handwriting Rehabilitation After Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)

Study Purpose Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) enhances motor recovery by increasing the functional range of motion to significantly improve muscle force deficits following an acquired brain injury. While FES has shown promise in improving muscular activation, its role in facilitating fine motor skills like handwriting in the acquired brain injury population needs further investigation. The project will incorporate motion capture (mo-cap) analysis technology, which will capture participants' detailed movement patterns during handwriting tasks and provide multi-baseline pre-analysis/post-analysis of motor planning and execution for precise tracking of manual dexterity improvements by quantifying changes in fine motor control, speed, and accuracy. The study seeks to provide comprehensive evidence of FES's effectiveness in hand remediation with combined assistive technology with functional-based activity to enhance motor function and improve acquired brain injury survivors' quality of life by enabling better outcomes in daily tasks requiring fine motor skills. An Online Nurse-Led Purpose-Focused Group Program for Adult Women With Multiple Sclerosis: Effects on Meaning and Quality of Life

The goal of this study is to learn how a six-week, nurse-led virtual group program may affect meaning in life and quality of life in adult women living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Many people with MS describe changes in identity, purpose, and daily life. This study will help researchers understand whether a structured group program can support women as they explore meaning and purpose while living with MS. The main questions this study aims to answer are: * How does the program affect how participants search for meaning in life? * How does it affect their sense of life purpose or direction? * How does it affect their overall quality of life? This study uses a single-group design. All participants will take part in the six-week virtual group program. The program is led by a registered nurse and focuses on guided reflection, values exploration, and group discussion. Participants will: * Attend one virtual group session for one hour each week for six weeks * Take part in guided discussions and reflection exercises * Complete three online surveys: one before the program begins, one at Week 3, and one after Week 6 * Use a computer, tablet, or phone to join all virtual sessions The surveys will ask about: * How participants search for meaning in their lives * How much purpose and direction they feel * Their physical and emotional quality of life There are no medications, invasive procedures, or in-person visits in this study.

Fall Risk and Quality of Life: in Individuals With Cancer Treatment Related Peripheral Neuropathy.

The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of peripheral neuropathy on fall risk and quality of life in people who had cancer and neuropathy from cancer treatments. The investigators are interested to find out if the participant have any difficulty with thinking, feeling, balancing, or moving around that will contribute to risk for falls or quality of life. Investigators are also interested to see if the participants have any difficulty with doing two activities at the same time, such as walking and texting.

Short-term and Intermediate-term Effects of Self-applied Joint Mobilization Versus Clinician-applied Joint Mobilization in Addition to Exercise in Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis: A Randomized Clinical Trial

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if a combination of patient self-administered joint mobilization and exercise works to treat knee osteoarthritis in adults. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does self-administered joint mobilization improve the ability to perform regular daily activities? * Does self-administered joint mobilization improve knee motion? * Does self-administered joint mobilization improve hip strength? Researchers will compare the program of self-administered joint mobilization to a joint mobilization administered by a physical therapist. Participants will: * Attend 8-12 physical therapy clinic visits over 6 - 8 weeks * Perform home exercises * Visit the clinic 6 months later for a brief check-up

Benefits of Insoles With Real-Time Alert and Foot Self-Care Education

Novel approaches to promote adherence to diabetic footwear and prevent high incidence of diabetes foot ulcers are urgently needed. Investigators propose to translate an innovative and practical technology to supplement clinical and risk evaluation for patients with diabetes through wearable insoles and smart watch, along with foot self-care education, to improve adherence to prescribed footwear and reduce incidence of foot ulcers in those with diabetes and at risk for foot ulcers.
