This observational study investigates the expression profile of chemokine receptors and adhesion molecules in CD8+ T lymphocytes from individuals with Bipolar Disorder compared with healthy controls. The study focuses on CCR5 and CXCR3, which are involved in CD8+ T-cell migration toward the central nervous system, as well as the adhesion-related molecules PSGL-1, VLA-4, and LFA-1. Participants with Bipolar I or Bipolar II Disorder will be drug-naive or drug-free for at least 6 months and will be compared with healthy controls. Differences in molecular expression will also be explored according to the current mood episode, including depressive and manic/hypomanic phases. Gene expression will be assessed by real-time PCR in purified CD8+ T lymphocytes obtained from peripheral blood samples.

This cross-sectional observational study will compare the gingival crevicular fluid metabolomic profile of 30 adults with periodontitis and 30 periodontally healthy adults. Participants will undergo a periodontal examination and gingival crevicular fluid collection during a single study visit. Targeted metabolomic analysis will be used to identify differences between the two groups and associations with periodontal clinical parameters.

A double-blind randomized-controlled clinical trial is conducted in order to evaluate the impact of non-surgical periodontal treatment by means of minimally invasive approach MINST or Q-SI (quadrantwise) approach in subjects with periodontitis on targeted metabolomics in gingival crevicular fluid

The study will analyze the auditory functions of patients with Multiple Sclerosis using auditory tests like pure tone auditory test, speech perception test, Auditory Brain Response (ABR) and Distortion Product Otoacustic Emission (DPOAE). CSF will be collected by lumbar puncture and analyzed looking for inflammatory markers. The results of DPOAE and CSF will be correlated to identify statistically significant correlation.

The sensation of smell is influenced by the somatosensory and chemesthetic sensati¬ons of the nose: for example, the cooling sensation of menthol or the prickle of carbon dioxide from carbonated drinks. These sensations are mediated in the nose by the trigeminal nerve and there is increasing evidence that trigeminal and olfactory functions are closely linked and potentially interdependent. In addition, trigeminal activation is crucial to the perception of nasal airflow. Some researchers speculate about the impact of trigeminal nerve on the entire olfactory sensation and about the presence of some specific "trigeminal cells" into the nose.Patients with Multiple sclerosis (MS) can suffer from quantitative olfactory disorders that generally are of light entity and do not interfere with daily life activities but it is important to underline that olfactory loss can be an onset sign of the MS. Considering the "trigeminal component" in the olfaction, because trigeminal nerve inflammation is quite common in MS patients due to central and peripheral inflammation, it could be possible that these patients suffer from changes in the quantitative, but more in the qualitative smell functions that are generally not identified because poorly investigated.

A double-blind randomized-controlled clinical trial is conducted in order to evaluate the impact of non-surgical periodontal treatment on endothelial dysfunction parameters in subjects with peri-implantitis/peri-implant mucositis and without any cardiovascular disease.
