This is a prospective, randomized, controlled, multi-center clinical study comparing SupraSDRM® to standard of care wound dressing, BTM, in the treatment of full-thickness wounds deemed not immediately suitable for definitive grafting will be performed.

This multicentre phase III clinical trial will target adults and adolescents of 12 years and older with severe burns to confirm the efficacy and functionality of denovoSkin™ in achieving wound closure and reducing scarring in patients with deep partial and full-thickness burns as compared to split-thickness skin.

This clinical trial is designed to assess the safety, effectiveness and benefits of Self Assembled Skin Substitute SASS grafts as a permanent skin replacement for the treatment of full-thickness burn wounds that require permanent coverage where the availability of donor sites is limited.

Burn injuries are very painful for children, especially during dressing changes when the wound is cleaned and re-bandaged. This procedure, while necessary, can cause pain, fear, and distress that may make children afraid of future treatments. Virtual reality (VR) is a technology that uses a headset to show an immersive, interactive 3D world. It can distract children from painful medical procedures. This study aims to find out if using VR during burn dressing changes can reduce pain, fear, and behavioral distress in children aged 6 to 12 years. Half of the children will receive standard burn care plus VR distraction during their dressing change. The other half will receive standard care only. The study will take place at the Burns and Plastic Surgery Center, Mansoura University, Egypt. Children will be recruited from both inpatient wards and outpatient clinics. Pain will be measured using a number scale, fear using a faces scale, and distress will be observed throughout the procedure. It is expected that children who use VR will report less pain, show less fear, and display less distress during their dressing changes compared to children who receive standard care alone.

The goal of this study is to explore if an adipose-based therapeutic strategy can treat full-thickness soft-tissue trauma wounds in injured individuals, especially those with severe burns or soft-tissue loss. The main question it aims to answer are: \- Can immediate autologous adipose and autologous layered composite grafting be effective for acute functional soft-tissue reconstruction? Researchers will compare the single-stage autologous layered composite grafting method to traditional methods to see if it improves healing outcomes, minimizes scarring, and reduces infection risk. Participants will: * Receive immediate fat grafting into the wound. * Undergo simultaneous split-thickness skin grafting for full soft-tissue reconstruction.

The goal of this study is to explore if an adipose-based therapeutic strategy can treat contracted scars secondary to soft-tissue burn wounds in injured individuals, especially those with severe burns or soft-tissue loss. The main question it aims to answer are: \- Can autologous layered composite grafting demonstrate non-inferiority compared to full-thickness skin grafting for delayed reconstruction of post-burn or trauma scar contracture? Researchers will compare the single-stage autologous layered composite grafting method to traditional methods to see if it improves healing outcomes, minimizes scarring, and reduces infection risk. Participants will: * Receive fat grafting at time of scar revision. * Undergo simultaneous split-thickness skin grafting for full soft-tissue reconstruction.

The purpose of this Study is to help expand the use of the DeepView AI System so that it can assess burn injuries on the hands, head/face, and feet. To do this, the Study will collect new images of burns in these areas. Some of these images will be used to improve and retrain the AI system, while others will be used to test how well the updated system performs. The images for both purposes will be collected at the same time. The new images from the hands, head/face, and feet will then be combined with existing images from other body areas. This will allow researchers to determine whether the updated AI system performs as well as, or better than, previous versions of the technology. For participants with Study Burns requiring surgical excision, the Study site clinician will collect punch biopsies from the Study Burn according to a standardised burn wound punch biopsy collection.

This retrospective cohort study will evaluate burn patients hospitalized and treated at the Burn Center of Gaziantep City Hospital between October 2023 and June 2026. The study aims to compare demographic characteristics, burn severity, clinical course, and in-hospital outcomes between Turkish citizens and foreign-national burn patients. Data will be obtained retrospectively from patient files, discharge summaries, intensive care records, operative notes, and the hospital information management system. Variables will include age, sex, nationality status, burn etiology, total body surface area burned, inhalation injury, sepsis, intensive care unit admission, mechanical ventilation requirement, surgical treatment requirement, number of operations, length of hospital stay, discharge status, transfer to another center, and in-hospital mortality. No additional intervention, diagnostic test, treatment, or follow-up procedure will be performed as part of this study. All analyses will be conducted using anonymized or coded retrospective clinical data.

This is a pilot, single-center, feasibility study to evaluate a new 3D printing method for ORDP design. To our knowledge, there is no technical or clinical evaluation of ORDPs, particularly in the treatment of hypertrophic scars. The aim of our study is therefore to assess the feasibility of an innovative method of designing ORDPs for the curative treatment of post-burn hypertrophic scars, using a 3D printing process, and to describe the procedures (production time and cost).

The purpose of this clinical trial is to adapt and test a brief patient-caregiver early intervention designed to reduce posttraumatic stress symptoms in hospitalized burn patients and their caregivers. This intervention is a brief, 4-session cognitive-behavioral intervention designed for burn patients and their loved one to complete together, during and after hospitalization. The intervention targets relational communication and functioning through reduction of invalidating, negative statements and avoidant coping by teaching patients and their loved ones to engage in adaptive natural disclosures, supportive responses, and approach coping after the burn trauma. The intervention uses evidence-based psychotherapy techniques, including psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and skills coaching. The clinical trial will occur in two sequential phases. In the first phase of the study (case series), the intervention will be provided to two burn patient-caregiver dyads (four adults) to pilot test the intervention, seek patient and provider feedback, and refine the intervention. All four adults will receive the intervention. In the second phase of the study, the randomized controlled trial (RCT) phase, investigators will enroll 20 more burn patient-caregiver dyads (40 more adults) who will be randomly assigned (like the flip of a coin) at the dyad level to receive the intervention or a burn survivor-only minimally enhanced usual care psychoeducation control condition (mEUC). The goals of the RCT phase are to study whether the intervention is acceptable to patients, feasible to conduct, and whether the intervention improves burn survivor-caregiver healthy relationship communication about difficult events and treatment outcomes compared to mEUC.

Pilot observational clinical evaluation assessing the safety and potential effectiveness of THERAVEX Tissue Care Spray Plus as an adjunctive topical therapy for the management of cutaneous wounds, burns, traumatic lesions, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and chronic ulcers in 26 patients. The study evaluated wound healing progression, epithelialization, tissue hydration, inflammatory response, tolerance, and overall clinical evolution in patients receiving standard wound care combined with topical application of THERAVEX Tissue Care Spray Plus. Preliminary observations demonstrated favorable tissue response, progressive epithelial regeneration, reduction of inflammatory signs, and absence of treatment-related adverse events.

Seventy patients of both sexes with thermal burn injuries, aged 25 to 45 years, will participate in this study. The participants will be randomly selected from the Outpatient Clinic of the Faculty of Physical Therapy. They will be randomly assigned into two equal groups, 35 patients each (study group and control group). Group A (Study Group): Patients in this group will receive Frenkel exercises in addition to a traditional physiotherapy program comprising stretching, strengthening exercises and scar management, 3 times a week for 8 weeks. While, Group B (Control Group): Patients in this group will receive traditional physiotherapy program, 3 times a week for 8 weeks.

The purpose of the study will to test the: * Face validity of Arabic version of Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire in assessment of hand function post burn. * Content validity of Arabic version of Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire in assessment of hand function post burn. * Concurrent validity of Arabic version of Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire in assessment of hand function post burn. * Feasibility of Arabic version of Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire in assessment of hand function post burn. * Internal consistency reliability of Arabic version of Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire in assessment of hand function post burn. * Test- retest reliability of Arabic version of Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire in assessment of hand function post burn.

Burn wound infections remain a major source of morbidity in patients with thermal injuries and contribute to delayed healing, graft loss, and prolonged hospitalization. The emergence of antimicrobial-resistant organisms further complicates management and highlights the need for non-antibiotic antimicrobial strategies. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is an antimicrobial approach that combines a photosensitizing agent with visible light to generate reactive oxygen species capable of killing bacteria. This randomized clinical trial will evaluate the safety and preliminary efficacy of methylene blue-mediated photodynamic therapy for the treatment of burn wound bacterial contamination. Participants receiving standard burn care will be randomized to receive either methylene blue-photodynamic therapy with blue light illumination or light therapy alone during routine dressing changes. Treatments will occur during two consecutive dressing changes. The primary objective is to determine whether methylene blue photodynamic therapy reduces bacterial burden in burn wounds compared with light therapy alone. Secondary outcomes include safety, tolerability, and effects on wound healing.

Burn injuries can result in long term physical and mental sequelae, not only from the scarring but also the painful dressings. The standard of care today remains use of antibiotic topical dressings while awaiting demarcation of the burn depth, with surgical excision and grafting for deep partial thickness and full thickness areas. Demarcation can be appreciated on admission for full thickness burns but is often a prolonged process that can last weeks. The clinical evaluation of the depth of the burn is a complex decision that often is made more challenging by the presence of the proteinaceous pseudoeschar and the coagulated dermis itself. Surgical debridement is relatively 'coarse' and by its very nature requires removal of a thin layer of viable tissue to reach the level that is vascularized enough to support a skin graft. There has been growing interest in the use of adjuncts to reduce the amount tissue debrided and potentially reduce the need for surgery itself. Operatively, there have been some reports that use of hydro-dissection devices (Versajet™) may allow a more controlled debridement, resulting in less viable tissue being sacrificed. There is also a growing experience with enzymatic debridement, especially with Bromolein, derived from Pineapple (NexoBrid®). Neither of these have been shown to definitively improve care in randomized controlled trials, (RCTs) and there is suggestion that in some settings may actually cause harm.

Improvements in burn care have resulted in increased survival. Despite these improved outcomes one of the leading challenges of burn care remains providing adequate analgesia during routine wound care and dressing changes. The traditional use of narcotics is challenging as the therapeutic window between analgesia and suppression of breathing becomes narrow with the intense pain and high doses of narcotics needed for dressing changes.

The aim of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of multimodal (cytokine and lipopolysaccharide) hemoadsorption using the Efferon® LPS device to reduce the severity of clinical symptoms and to prevent the progression of multiple organ dysfunction or to arrest its development in patients with burn disease with an RFI score ≥71 and ≤181. Patients will be randomized in two groups: control group receiving baseline therapy (including CRRT) and treatment group receiving baseline therapy and Efferon® LPS hemoadsorption in combination with CRRT.

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of nano-fat grafting in treating hypertrophic scars caused by burns on the chest, shoulders, and back. Burn scars in these specific areas are often difficult to treat because the skin is under constant tension and motion, which can prolong inflammation and worsen the scar. While conventional scar treatments like silicone patches, pressure garments, and steroid injections are widely used, they do not always completely restore normal tissue. Nano-fat grafting is emerging as a promising regenerative option. This procedure involves taking a small amount of the patient's own fat and processing it into a liquid that is rich in healing cells. This liquid is then injected directly into the scar to potentially improve skin texture, color, and flexibility. The study will enroll 55 participants between the ages of 18 and 50. To be eligible, patients must have a post-burn hypertrophic scar on their chest, shoulder, or back that is less than 6 months old. During the study, doctors will harvest a small amount of fat from the patient's abdomen or thighs using a small tube. This fat will be carefully washed, processed, and passed through a special filter to create liquid nano-fat. The liquid is then gently injected into the scar tissue. Researchers will monitor the patients and evaluate the scars at 1, 3, and 6 months after the injection. They will use standard clinical scar assessments (the Vancouver Scar Scale and the Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale) alongside photographs to measure improvements in scar color, thickness, pliability, and overall appearance, as well as patient-reported symptoms like pain and itching.

To compare MW-III to Silvadene® Cream 1% (Silver Sulfadiazine) with respect to "time to healing" (≥95% re-epithelialization) of a partial thickness target thermal burn.

This is a prospective, observational, monocentric, phase II (exploratory) cohort study aiming to describe the evolutionary profile of the initial volume of glucose distribution (IDVG) during the first four days of management of severely burned patient.

Many patients suffer from traumatic burns and current treatments do not increase the regenerative potential of either skin grafts or the remaining uninjured skin. There is a need to develop treatments to accelerate and improve healing of burn injuries. More research is needed to evaluate the role of 4-AP, a promising new agent with an excellent safety profile, on wound and burn healing. The investigational treatment will be used to test the hypothesis that 4-AP accelerates burn healing in traumatically burned patients.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of participating in a tele-rehabilitation program after a burn.

This observational pilot study aims to establish criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of hemoadsorption with the Efferon LPS device in adult patients with burn injury. Participants will be prospectively enrolled into the treatment group and compared with a retrospectively selected control group. Each patient in the treatment group will undergo two hemoadsorption sessions, each lasting 6-12 hours, with a 24 hours interval between sessions. The procedures may be performed in combination with hemofiltration or hemodiafiltration at the investigator's discretion.

This study aims to examine the clinical effectiveness of gait training using wearable robots in patients with impaired gait function after burn injury. The participants were chronic patients who underwent split-thickness skin grafting or burns of more than 50% of the lower extremities and still had impaired gait dysfunction 6 months later. Eligible participants were aged over 18 years and had a Functional Ambulation Category (FAC) score of 3 or higher. Physiotherapy was performed on a one to one basis by qualified physiotherapists for 1 hour per day, 5 days a week Monday through Friday, for 12 weeks. Assessments were carried out before and immediately after the 12-week training period. Physical ability were assessed using the functional ambulatory category(FAC) scale, the 6-Minute Walk Test (6MWT), and the visual analogue scale (VAS). Spatiotemporal gait parameters-including gait speed, cadence, and step length-and sagittal joint kinematic parameters for the hip, knee, and ankle during stance and swing phases were measured during gait analysis. Pulmonary function test such as forced vital capacity (FVC), 1-s forced expiratory volume (FEV1), and carbon monoxide (DLco). The highest maximal expiratory pressure (MEP) and maximal inspiratory pressure (MIP) value were evaluated.
