The goal of this double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross over study is to learn about the neuroprotective properties of a broad-spectrum cannabinoid formulation in normal healthy adults engaged in elite contact sport competition. The main question it aims to answer : • Is the broad-spectrum cannabinoid formulation neuroprotective for athletes participating in competitive contact sports? Can this formulation facilitate recovery in those who suffer from concussion by reducing inflammation and/or reduce the number of concussions sustained without adverse physiological and psychological dysfunction when administered daily? Participants will: * be given a broad-spectrum cannabinoid gel capsule or a placebo twice daily. * have blood samples taken to analyze pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of cannabinoid metabolites, liver function, complete blood count and blood differential, inflammatory biomarkers and genetic analysis * have stool samples collected for gut microbiome analysis; * undergo testing sessions, which will include psychological and health questionnaires, equipment to record signals from the brain and heart, and safety laboratory tests.

This study evaluates a transdiagnostic Internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy (ICBT) recently tailored for Canadian public safety personnel (PSP) reporting symptoms of depression, anxiety, or posttraumatic stress. Outcomes of interest include engagement with the intervention, changes in symptoms and functioning, and strengths and limitations of implementing ICBT with Canadian PSP.

This study evaluates the effectiveness of additional content on loneliness offered alongside the Wellbeing Course - an internet-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT) intervention for symptoms of depression and anxiety- in improving treatment outcomes for individuals with elevated scores on loneliness seeking treatment for depression and anxiety at a routine care online therapy clinic (the Online Therapy Unit). In this partially randomized control trial, the investigators aim to contribute to the literature by examining whether providing additional content on loneliness alongside the Wellbeing Course enhances engagement, satisfaction, and treatment outcomes among clients experiencing frequent loneliness compared to those completing only the Wellbeing Course. Over 8 weeks, participants will review course materials (with the addition of the loneliness content for those assigned to the loneliness content condition) online and complete questionnaires assessing changes in various outcomes over time.

This study evaluates an internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (ICBTi) intervention, known as the Sleep Course, within a routine online therapy clinic (the Online Therapy Unit). The Sleep Course will specifically be offered to clients with self-reported sleep difficulties (i.e., falling or staying asleep or waking early) and daytime distress and or impairment. This study aims to replicate the effectiveness and acceptability of the previously evaluated Sleep Course when delivered in Australia. The investigators will also assess uptake and completion rates within the clinic as well as demographic and clinical characteristics of individuals enrolled in the Sleep Course.

There is growing evidence for the effectiveness of internet-delivered cognitive behaviour therapy (ICBT) for post-secondary students with symptoms of depression and anxiety. In ICBT, clients review structured online content over several weeks to learn strategies and skills to manage their symptoms. Low treatment completion rates remain a concern for post-secondary students, so it is possible that existing treatment protocols do not offer enough flexibility for students' needs and preferences. This trial will examine students' preferences for different course options (fast-track, 5-week, and 8-week) and compare enrollment, adherence, and outcomes of students who pick each of the three options. In all three options, students will receive optional therapist support, in which the assigned therapist only contacts the student on weeks where the student sends the therapist a message. This trial will help inform the delivery of flexible treatment options for post-secondary students in a routine care setting.

This study evaluates two Internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy (ICBT) interventions: one for symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and one for symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Both interventions have been tailored for Canadian public safety personnel (PSP). Outcomes of interest include preference for disorder-specific or transdiagnostic care, engagement with the interventions, changes in symptoms and functioning, and strengths and limitations of implementing ICBT with Canadian PSP.

This study evaluates an internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (ICBTi) intervention, known as the Sleep Course, adapted for public safety personnel (PSP) experiencing sleep difficulties. The study seeks to replicate prior results from an Australian version of the Sleep Course assessing its effectiveness and acceptability when offered to PSP.

This study is a randomized factorial trial designed to evaluate unguided (i.e., purely self-help), transdiagnostic internet delivered cognitive behaviour therapy tailored for public safety personnel with tunneled of personalized course delivery and with or without the incorporation of social learning resources.

Chronic health conditions are common, disabling, and often co-occur with depression and anxiety. Internet-delivered cognitive behaviour therapy (ICBT) reduces barriers to treatment and has been adapted for chronic conditions. A transdiagnostic approach is promising because it is both effective and convenient in that clients with diverse conditions receive the same program. Both therapist-guided and self-guided formats have been found effective; however, in routine care therapist support is most common to ensure that clients have support to personalize care. This study evaluates the therapist-guided Chronic Conditions Course (CCC) and examines predictors of change. Past research shows that the most robust predictors of ICBT outcomes are baseline severity, adherence, credibility, and working alliance. However, few studies of ICBT for chronic conditions have examined predictors together. Moreover, the researchers are aware of no studies that have examined these core predictors in routine delivery of ICBT for those with chronic health conditions alongside other predictors-such as changes in thoughts and adaptive actions. A limitation of past work is that predictor analyses were typically secondary to trials designed for other purposes. This study directly addresses that gap by prospectively modeling predictors of change in routine care.

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Wellbeing Course for New and Expecting Parents (WCNEP), an internet-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT) intervention, in reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression in perinatal parents, within a routine care online therapy clinic (the Online Therapy Unit). The study aims to assess treatment uptake, perceptions, feasibility, and effectiveness of the WCNEP in routine care among birthing and non-birthing parents. Over the duration of 8 weeks, participants will review course materials online and respond to questionnaires aimed at assessing changes in various outcomes over time.

Since 2012, the Online Therapy Unit has been offering Internet-delivered cognitive behaviour therapy (ICBT). ICBT represents a convenient method for individuals to access care for depression and anxiety. In ICBT, clients receive access to standardized lessons that provide the same information and skills as traditional face-to-face CBT. ICBT courses often span 6-12 weeks. There is now growing evidence that clients with symptoms of depression and anxiety can benefit from a single session brief intervention that offers practical strategies for improving mental health, but the investigators are uncertain about the interest in such a lesson among those seeking online mental health care. The Things You Do Course, therefore, is designed to provide clients with 5 key actions that clients can take to improve their emotional wellbeing. In this study, the Online Therapy Unit (OTU) is examining how effective the Things You Do Course is in helping clients manage their symptoms of depression and anxiety and improve their emotional wellbeing. The OTU is also exploring the extent to which clients are satisfied with the course, and what factors contribute to improvements in symptoms, as measured by a number of questionnaires. The research will ultimately be used to improve how the OTU will deliver ICBT and to inform whether to include the single session course within existing online mental health service options.

This observational study investigates an Internet-delivered Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (ICBT) intervention for alcohol misuse, called the Alcohol Change Course Enhanced (ACCE). The intervention will be offered through the Online Therapy Unit, which is a routine care ICBT clinic. The primary objective of the study is to examine whether engagement in adaptive actions measured by the Things You Do Questionnaire (TYDQ), including healthy thinking, meaningful activities, social connections, healthy habits and goal setting - increase during ICBT for alcohol misuse. Using data collected during routine care, the relationship between adaptive actions and alcohol use will be investigated, and specifically explore if the frequency of adaptive actions increases as alcohol use reduces during the intervention.

The goal of the clinical trial is to test whether a mental health program that is delivered through the Internet works well for children and adolescents with cystic fibrosis (CF) and their healthy siblings. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does the program improve the mental health such as depression and anxiety symptoms? * Does the program improve overall quality of life? * Does the program improve self-efficacy - an individual's belief in their ability to complete tasks to achieve their goals? Participants will: * Fill out an online survey asking questions about their personal and health information, as well as their mental health before the program * Complete the online mental health program * Fill out an online survey asking questions about their mental health after completing the program, and 1-month and 3-months following completing the program Participants be compared against another group of children with CF and their healthy siblings who are on a waitlist and receiving usual CF treatment. Researchers will compare participants scores before starting the program with their scores immediately following completing the program, 1-month, and 3-month after completing the program. Researchers hope to develop a program that improves mental health, quality of life, self-efficacy, and knowledge about CF.

This study is testing a self-help mental health program that was designed to help people cope with the challenges of living with a premenstrual disorder. Individuals with a premenstrual disorder - either premenstrual dysphoric disorder or premenstrual exacerbation of depression - will track their daily symptoms for two menstrual cycles before they complete the program, throughout the two-cycle program, and for an additional two cycles after accessing the program. This will allow the research team to compare their symptoms before and after accessing the program.

The primary purpose of this research is to compare the effects of creatine monohydrate and/or whey protein supplementation during the first 10 weeks of a 20-week resistance-band training program on measures of body composition (whole-body lean tissue mass, total body water), arm and leg muscle thickness, upper- and lower-body muscle performance (i.e., strength, endurance) and functional ability (walking speed, balance). A secondary purpose of this research is to examine the effects of supplementation cessation (i.e., no creatine and/or whey protein supplementation) during the final 10 weeks of the 20-week resistance-band training program on these measures.

The primary purpose is to compare the effects of creatine supplementation (bolus ingestion of 5 grams vs. 3 grams) during 16 weeks of resistance-band training on measures of body composition (i.e., whole-body lean tissue mass, total body water), arm and leg muscle thickness (growth), muscle performance (i.e., power, strength, endurance) and functional ability (i.e., walking speed, balance). A secondary purpose of this research is to examine the effects of bolus ingestion of creatine (5 grams) compared to intermittent ingestion of creatine (2 x 2.5 grams) during 16 weeks of resistance-band training on measures of body composition (i.e., whole-body lean tissue mass, total body water), arm and leg muscle thickness (growth), muscle performance (i.e., power, strength, endurance) and functional ability (i.e., walking speed, balance).

The purpose is to compare the effects of bolus ingestion (5 grams) vs. intermittent ingestion (2 x 2.5 grams) of creatine supplementation vs. placebo for 21 days on measures of body composition (lean tissue mass-indicator of muscle mass, total body water) and muscle performance (i.e., power, strength, endurance).

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), like all public safety personnel (PSP), are frequently exposed to potentially psychologically traumatic events that contribute to posttraumatic stress injuries (PTSI). Addressing PTSI is impeded by the limited available research. The RCMP are working to build evidence-based solutions to PTSI and other mental health challenges facing their members, which by extension will help all PSP, as part of the Canadian Government Federal Framework on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. A key element is the "Longitudinal Study of Operational Stress Injuries / Étude longitudinale sur les traumatismes liés au stress opérationnel", a study which has been renamed "Risk and Resiliency Factors in the RCMP: A Prospective Investigation", and is referred to as the "RCMP Study" for short. The RCMP Study has been detailed online (www.rcmpstudy.ca) and in a recently published peer-reviewed protocol paper, "The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Study: protocol for a prospective investigation of mental health risk and resilience factors" (https://doi.org/10.24095/hpcdp.42.8.02). The RCMP Study, part of the concerted efforts by the RCMP to reduce PTSI by improving access to evidence-based assessments, treatments, and training as well as participant recruitment and RCMP Study developments to date. The RCMP Study has been designed to (1) develop, deploy and assess the impact of a system for ongoing annual, monthly and daily evidence-based assessments; (2) evaluate associations between demographic variables and PTSI; (3) longitudinally assess individual differences associated with PTSI; (4) augment the RCMP Cadet Training Program with skills to proactively mitigate PTSI; and (5) assess the impact of the augmented training condition (ATC) versus the standard training condition (STC). Participants in the STC (n = 480) and ATC (n = 480) are assessed before and after training and annually for 5 years on their deployment date; they also complete brief monthly and daily surveys. The RCMP Study results are expected to benefit the mental health of all participants, RCMP and PSP by reducing PTSI among all who serve.
