HydroGraft for Mandibular Horizontal Ridge Atrophy Augmentation.

This randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate the efficacy of a hydrogel-enhanced allograft compared with a standard particulate allograft, both used in conjunction with a resorbable collagen membrane, for horizontal alveolar ridge augmentation in patients with mandibular Cawood and Howell Class IV ridge defects. The primary objective is to determine whether the hydrogel-enhanced allograft results in greater horizontal bone gain at 6 months following augmentation.

Diode Laser 635 nm and 810 nm Photodynamic Therapy as Adjuncts to Non-Surgical Periodontal Treatment

This study aims to evaluate and compare the clinical effectiveness of antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) using toluidine blue O (TBO) activated by two different diode laser wavelengths as an adjunct to non-surgical periodontal treatment in patients with Stage II and Stage III periodontitis. Participants will be randomly allocated to three treatment groups: non-surgical periodontal treatment combined with aPDT using a 635 nm diode laser, non-surgical periodontal treatment combined with aPDT using an 810 nm diode laser, and non-surgical periodontal treatment alone. The treatment outcomes will be evaluated based on changes in the following clinical periodontal parameters: Plaque Index (PI), Bleeding on Probing (BOP), Relative Attachment Level (RAL), Probing Depth (PD), and Gingival Recession (GR).

Alveolar Ridge Preservation Using Sticky Bone and Chitosan

Alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) is commonly performed following tooth extraction to minimize post-extraction dimensional changes and maintain the alveolar ridge for subsequent implant placement. This study aims to clinically compare two grafting approaches for alveolar ridge preservation: a sticky bone consisting of bone graft mixed with platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), and bone graft combined with chitosan. The study will evaluate the effectiveness of these two approaches in preserving the dimensions and quality of the alveolar ridge following tooth extraction.

Using Chin Bone Rings for Sinus Lifting and Dental Implants in One Surgery

This study evaluates the Bone Ring Technique, a single stage procedure that combines external sinus floor elevation and dental implant placement using an autogenous bone ring harvested from the chin. Ten patients with residual alveolar bone height ≤4 mm in the posterior maxilla will be enrolled. Implant stability (ISQ), vertical bone gain, peri implant bone density, and implant survival will be assessed over 6 months. The aim is to reduce treatment time and surgical interventions compared to traditional two stage approaches.

Efficacy of Carbohydrate Loading in Diabetic Type 2 Patients Undergoing CABG Surgery on CPB

Enhanced recovery after surgery protocols aim to optimize perioperative care and improve surgical outcomes. Preoperative carbohydrate loading has demonstrated benefits in reducing insulin resistance and improving patient outcomes. While non-diabetic patients benefit from this approach, its efficacy in diabetic type 2 patients undergoing CABG remains less understood. This study aims to address this gab by evaluating the physiological and clinical outcomes for carbohydrate loading in this specific population.

Tissue Adhesive Versus Sutures in Oral Biopsy Closure

Excisional biopsies are commonly performed in the oral mucosa, and proper wound closure and hemostasis are critical for the success of the surgical procedure. Suturing remains the gold standard for closing surgical incisions; however, it has several drawbacks, including being time-consuming and requiring technical skill for proper placement. In addition, access to posterior areas of the oral cavity can be challenging. Suturing may also cause patient discomfort during needle penetration of tissues and can serve as a potential pathway for microbial contamination. Therefore, this randomized controlled clinical trial aims to evaluate one of the latest tissue adhesives from the cyanoacrylate group (PeriAcryl 90 HV) compared to conventional surgical sutures (Nylon 4-0) for wound closure following oral excisional biopsies. A total of 28 patients with oral fibroma will be randomly assigned to either the tissue adhesive group or the suture group (14 patients per group).

Comparison of the Efficacy of Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% Mouthwash, Photobiomodulation, and Their Combination in Managing of Oral Lesions in Patient With Pemphigus Vulgaris.

Pemphigus vulgaris (PV) is a chronic, potentially life-threatening autoimmune mucocutaneous disorder that significantly impairs patients' quality of life. While systemic corticosteroids and immunosuppressants remain the standard of care, many patients suffer from persistent, painful oral lesions that exhibit delayed healing or poor response to conventional systemic protocols. This clinical trial investigates the efficacy and safety of supportive topical interventions: clobetasol propionate 0.05% mouthwash and photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT)-a non-invasive approach designed to accelerate tissue repair, and their combination. The primary objective is to identify effective adjunctive topical therapies that can facilitate the healing of oral erosions, mitigate pain, and potentially allow for a reduction in systemic medication dosages, thereby minimizing long-term treatment-related complications and improving overall patient outcomes.

Comparison Between Liquid Fibrin and Soft Laser Effects on Healing and Relapse After Lip Repositioning Surgery

A gummy smile can negatively affect a patient's self-confidence and satisfaction with their appearance, leading many individuals to seek effective esthetic solutions. The etiology of this condition varies and may include vertical maxillary excess, short upper lip, hyperactive upper lip, gingival enlargement, or altered passive eruption. Lip Repositioning Surgery is one of the minimally invasive esthetic surgical procedures used to reduce the amount of gingival display during smiling. Despite its effectiveness, this surgery may be associated with challenges such as pain, swelling, delayed wound healing, and the possibility of postoperative relapse over time, which could compromise both esthetic and functional outcomes. To overcome these challenges and enhance surgical outcomes, adjunctive techniques have been introduced to promote healing and determine whether enhancing the biological healing process can reduce the rate of relapse after LRS. Among the most prominent of these are Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin (i-PRF) and Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT).

Cardiac Self-Efficacy in Patients With Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension

This study aims to analyze the effect of Pulmonary Endarterectomy (PEA) on patients' self-confidence in managing their chronic illness. Patients' confidence (or self-efficacy) will be measured using the following questionnaires: 10-item Perceived Efficacy in Patient-Physician Interaction Scale (PEPPI), Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Diseases 6-item Scale (SEMCD-6), Sullivan's cardiac self-efficacy scale 13-items (SCSES). The association between improved confidence and better physical results will be analyzed, such as being able to walk longer (6 mint walk test (6-Minute Walk Test)). Ultimately, this study will help understanding the psychological side of recovery and might lead to better support programs to help patients feel more capable and live better lives after their operation.
