Compare Hemodynamic Effect of Oxytocin Bolus and Infusion During Cesarean Section Under Spinal Anesthesia

Oxytocin is routinely used during a cesarean section to promote uterine contraction and prevent postpartum hemorrhage. It is typically administered immediately after delivery of the baby, either as a slow intravenous bolus followed by a continuous infusion or as an infusion alone, depending on clinical protocols. By stimulating the uterine muscles to contract, oxytocin helps reduce blood loss and facilitates uterine involution. Care is taken to avoid rapid high-dose administration, as this may lead to side effects such as hypotension and tachycardia

Comparison of Two Sedative Agents in Terms of Controlled Hypotension

Propofol and Isoflurane are commonly used sedative agents in general anaesthesia. Both these drugs have a side effect of decreasing blood pressure which when used optimally can be used to acheive controlled hypotention. So, it provides a better visiblity of surgical filed to the surgeons. This RCT compares propofol infusion vs isoflurane inhalation for inducing controlled hypotension during endoscopic sinus surgery. The goal is to assess which agent better controls blood pressure, improves surgical field visibility, and impacts recovery. It likely measures outcomes like hemodynamics, bleeding, and surgeon satisfaction.

Intravenous Nalbuphine Versus Lidocaine for Prevention of Propofol Injection Pain

Propofol is a commonly used intravenous anesthetic agent, but its administration is frequently associated with injection pain, causing patient discomfort and agitation. Various pharmacological agents have been used to reduce this pain, including nalbuphine and lidocaine; however, results from previous studies remain conflicting. This randomized clinical trial aims to compare the effectiveness of intravenous nalbuphine versus intravenous lidocaine in reducing the frequency of propofol-induced injection pain in patients undergoing elective general surgery procedures.
