Vitamin E Versus Silymarin in Non Diabetic MASLD Patients

MASLD (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease), is a chronic liver condition marked by excessive fat buildup (steatosis) in liver cells, linked to at least one metabolic risk factor like obesity, type 2 diabetes, high blood lipids, or hypertension. Vitamin E serves as a recommended antioxidant therapy for select MASLD patients. It reduces liver inflammation markers such as ALT and AST, alongside benefits in steatosis and MASH resolution. Silymarin has clinical evidence supports its use as an adjunctive hepatoprotective agent due to antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antifibrotic effects.

Active Oxygen Gel vs Chlorhexidine Gel in Stage II Grade B Periodontitis

This randomized controlled clinical trial will evaluate the effectiveness of locally delivered active oxygen gel and chlorhexidine gel as adjuncts to scaling and root planing in the treatment of stage II grade B periodontitis.Sixty participants will be randomly assigned to one of three parallel groups: SRP with placebo gel, SRP with active oxygen gel, or SRP with chlorhexidine gel. The study will evaluate changes in probing pocket depth, clinical attachment level, gingival index, plaque index, and gingival crevicular fluid tumor necrosis factor alpha levels at baseline and follow-up visits to compare the effects of the three treatment approaches.

Microbial Adhesion and Peri-Implant Tissue Health in All-on-Four Hybrid Prostheses Supported by Zantex or Zirconia Frameworks

This study compares two materials (Zantex and Zirconia) used to make fixed full-arch dental prostheses supported by four dental implants (the "All-on-Four" technique) in patients who have no natural teeth in the lower jaw. The study will evaluate how much bacteria builds up on each material and how healthy the gum tissue around the implants stays over time. Each patient will receive one type of prosthesis (either Zantex or Zirconia framework), and will be followed for three months after treatment. The goal is to help determine which material may provide better oral health outcomes for patients receiving this type of dental treatment.

A Randomized Trial of Intratympanic Drug Delivery: Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Dexamethasone-Loaded Exosomes Versus Standard Therapy in Acute Sensorineural Hearing Loss.

Primary Objective To compare the efficacy of a single course of IT Exo-Dex versus conventional IT dexamethasone and exosome vehicle alone, as measured by the mean change in pure-tone average (PTA; 0.5, 1, 2, 4 kHz) from baseline to the 4-week post-treatment endpoint. Secondary Objectives 1. To determine the safety and tolerability profile of IT Exo-Dex. 2. To compare the rate of hearing recovery (defined as \>10 dB improvement in PTA or recovery to within 10 dB of contralateral ear) among the three treatment groups at 1, 4, and 12 weeks. 3. To assess changes in auditory function via Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) thresholds and Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs). 4. To characterize the pharmacokinetics and inner ear biodistribution of Exo-Dex using advanced imaging modalities (e.g., MRI with exosome-contrast agents in a sub-study cohort if applicable).

Stress Modulation and Dynamic Balance

This three-arm, parallel-group, randomized controlled trial (RCT) investigates whether dual-task therapeutic exercises (dynamic balance + cognitive task) improve perceived stress and dynamic balance in 72 healthy university students (18-25 years) compared to traditional balance training alone or a control group receiving general health advice. The dual-task group performs the same dynamic balance exercises (e.g., backward walking, tandem gait, single-leg reaches) while simultaneously engaging in cognitive tasks (verbal fluency, arithmetic, or working memory). The intervention lasts 6 weeks (2 sessions/week, 20-30 min each). Primary outcomes are Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) scores and objective dynamic balance indices (anterior/posterior/lateral deviation, overall stability) measured via the Balance check 636 device. Assessments occur at baseline and post-intervention by a blinded assessor. The study addresses a gap: no prior trial has examined combined effects of dual-task training on both stress modulation and balance in this population.

Effect of Task Specific Electrical Stimulation on Upper Limb Gross Motor Skills in Children With Spastic Quadriplegia

Cerebral palsy is a non-progressive lesion of the brain occurring before 2 years of age resulting in disorders of posture and movement.( Ostensjo S, 2004)( Keles MN, 2018). Although non- progressive, motor impairments develop as the child grows leading to activity and participation restriction. For children with CP, body function and structure impairments include changes in muscle tone and strength that affect the ability to control movement, specifically in regard to postural responses, selective control, regulation of activity, ability to learn unique movements, and inappropriate sequencing.(Ross SA,2007)( Ostensjo S, 2004) . Lack of proper loading and maladaptive muscle pulls over time causes the skeletal system to adapt to positions of malalignment, malformation, and overall bone weakness (Beckung E, 2007) (Elbasan B, 2018). These changes lead to delays in the natural progression of gross motor skills. As the child falls behind in motor function, they also fall behind in cognitive stimulation and development.( Akaya KU, 2018) . Understanding the anatomical and physiological implications that CP has on the developing child is necessary for physical therapists to treat this population, especially when utilizing electrical stimulation. Spastic quadriplegia Is a type of cerebral palsy that affects all four limbs and typically involves significant motor impairment. It results from brain damage that occurs before, during, or shortly after birth, affecting the areas of the brain responsible for movement and coordination. Electrical stimulation is a mode of physical therapy that can be utilized in the treatment of various nerve and muscle injuries, in addition to patients with acute and chronic pain. It involves an electrical pulse applied to a muscle or nerve that activates excitable tissue utilizing internal or external electrodes to build muscle strength, reduce pain, as well as create or support limb movement (Kerr C, 2007). Task-specific electrical stimulation (TASES) is a therapeutic technique used primarily in rehabilitation settings to enhance motor function. The primary aim of TASES is to facilitate movement and improve motor learning by applying electrical stimulation to specific muscles during targeted tasks.
