Plantar Fascitis

The objective of study is to compare the pain intensity, disability and functional capacity by Deep Transverse Friction Massage and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization Techniques in patients with plantar fasciitis.

This prospective, single-center, two-arm, parallel-group randomized non-inferiority trial will compare physician-led face-to-face exercise instruction with standardized video-based exercise instruction in adults with plantar fasciitis. Participants will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either face-to-face exercise training by an orthopedic physician or access to a standardized exercise video via QR code/web link. The exercise content will be identical in both groups; only the method of instruction will differ. The primary outcome will be the change in the Foot Function Index total/index score from baseline to 3 months. Secondary outcomes will include pain score, Foot Function Index subscales, exercise knowledge, exercise adherence, education time, video viewing status, additional treatment requirement, and patient satisfaction.

This study investigates whether focused Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (fESWT) helps people with chronic heel pain, commonly known as plantar fasciitis. Many patients suffer from this condition for more than six months without relief. The study compares two groups: one receiving fESWT treatment plus a specific exercise program, and a "wait-list" group that only performs the exercises at first. The shockwave treatment uses precise sound waves targeted at the painful area to stimulate the body's natural healing process. Researchers will measure if the treatment reduces pain and improves the patient's ability to walk and perform daily activities. Additionally, ultrasound will be used to see if the thickness of the plantar fascia (the tissue under the foot) decreases and returns to a healthier state. The goal is to confirm if fESWT provides a faster and more effective recovery than exercise alone.

The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy of planter displacement calcaneal osteotomy for intractable plantar fasciosis by decreasing the tension of the plantar fascia around the calcaneal attachment while keeping the plantar fascia intact.

Patients suffering from Plantar Fasciitis were randomized into three groups: the first group underwent infiltration of Collagen Hydrolyzed Peptides, the second one underwent the ESWT treatment, the third one underwent a combination of the two treatments.

This is a prospective, single center, double arm, randomized, unmasked, First in Human study that aims to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of SakuraBead™ resorbable embolization microspheres in adult patients suffering from pain secondary to plantar fasciitis.

The primary aim of this clinical experiment is to compare, in terms of pain relief measured using the 10-cm visual analog scale (VAS) pain score (5-7), the clinical results of ultrasound-guided injection (USGI) versus anatomic topography-guided injection (ATGI) of corticosteroid for the treatment of proximal PF. Secondary aims will be to compare foot-related quality of life, as measured using the Foot Function Index (FFI)and the Bristol Foot Score (BFS), between the injection groups, and also to compare the pre-injection to late-term post-injection thickness of the plantar fascia as measured in the nested USGI group.

Rationale of this research is to evaluate the outcome of two widely used but biomechanically distinct techniques of Taping done for plantar fascia i.e. Fascia taping which supports the fascia, and Low dye taping which realigns with medial longitudinal arch. The significance of this study is to identify which taping technique will improve pain, ankle ROM, foot function and arch flexibility which will help clinicians in identifying the most suitable and effective taping method for the patients

This study will compare the effects of Kaltenborn and Mulligan ankle mobilization techniques, combined with intrinsic foot muscle strengthening, on pain, functional status, and dorsiflexion range of motion in patients with plantar fasciitis. Eighty-two participants with chronic heel pain will be randomly allocated into two groups. Both groups will receive standard care including ultrasound therapy, stretching, and cryotherapy, while Group A will receive Kaltenborn mobilization and Group B will receive Mulligan mobilization. Pain, function, and ankle range of motion will be assessed at baseline and after three weeks of treatment.

This prospective clinical cohort study will follow 40 patients who recieve botulinum toxin A treatment for proximal medial gastrocnemius tightness with subsequent Chronic Plantar Fasciitis for two years. Three injections of botulinum toxin (75IU) will be administered with intervals of three months. Participants will be followed at baseline, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and 2 years with Patient Related Outcome Measures (PROMS) and physical test (Ergotest and ankle dorsiflexion).

This study is a randomized controlled trial and the purpose of this study is to determine the effects of dry needling with conventional physical therapy versus conventional physical therapy on gait parameters in plantar fasciitis: a randomized control trial.

The Objective of the study is to compare the effectiveness of Instrumental Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) and Kinesio taping for improving foot functional status and Quality of Life (QOL) in patients with Plantar Fasciitis. The study will be randomized controlled Trial including 2 experimental groups and 19 participants in each group

The rationale behind examining the synergistic impacts of high load strength training and tissues pecific plantar fascia stretching activities in athletes diagnosed with plantar fasciitis arises from an acknowledged deficiency in the existing body of scholarly research.Study design will be Randomized Control Trial. The study will be completed in 10 months after Synopsis Approval.The study will be carried in sports clubs of MOTH Mirpur AJK. Convenient Sampling will be used. Data Collection Tools will be used named as VAS, Functional foot index (FFI), and Goniometry used for Pain, functional disability and range of motion will be measured respectively before and after the intervention
