This study is part of the e-Perinatal project and is embedded within the main cluster randomized trial. The primary aim is to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effectiveness of an early diagnosis detection and referral strategy to specialized mental health services within routine maternal care. The secondary aim is to validate and implement an Artificial Intelligence-based algorithm for the early screening of mental health disorders in routine services.

This study is part of the ERC-funded e-Perinatal project and represents a large-scale hybrid type 1 effectiveness-implementation cluster randomized controlled trial. The primary aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of a personalized and complex mobile health (mHealth) intervention (e-Perinatal) in the universal prevention of maternal perinatal depression and anxiety disorders. Secondary aims include evaluating the impact on paternal mental health and child development, as well as examining implementation outcomes in real-world primary healthcare settings.

This randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of an online Hatha yoga program as an adjunct (add-on) therapy for patients with high-frequency episodic migraine. Participants will be randomly assigned to either an intervention group receiving a 12-week home-based online Hatha yoga program in addition to usual pharmacological treatment, or a control group receiving usual pharmacological care only. Outcomes include migraine frequency, pain intensity, functional disability, sleep quality, psychological symptoms, and adherence.

The purpose of this clinical trial is to evaluate whether the COPCA® program (Coping with and Caring for Infants with Special Needs) is more effective than conventional pediatric physiotherapy and parent education in improving development in infants at risk of neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as empowering their families. This study will include infants younger than 12 months of corrected age who are at risk of neurodevelopmental disorders and are currently receiving early intervention or pediatric physiotherapy services, together with their parents or primary caregivers. The main questions this study aims to answer are: Does the COPCA® program improve motor development and functional abilities in infants at risk of neurodevelopmental disorders more than conventional pediatric physiotherapy or parent education? Does the COPCA® program increase family empowerment and improve parents' perception of the care they receive compared with traditional intervention models? The researchers will compare outcomes across four study groups: In-person COPCA® intervention Online COPCA® intervention Parent education group Conventional pediatric physiotherapy group Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the four groups. The intervention period will last 6 months, with assessments conducted at the start of the study, during the intervention, and during follow-up. Infants will take part in age-appropriate daily activities and play situations. Parents or caregivers will actively participate in the intervention sessions and will be supported in learning how to promote their child's development during everyday routines. The study will assess infant motor development, functional abilities, overall development, family empowerment, and parents' perception of family-centered care using validated assessment tools and interviews. The results of this study may help improve early intervention strategies for infants at risk of neurodevelopmental disorders and support more family-centered approaches to care.

The main objective of this study is to know if the application of both therapies, neuroscience pain education plus therapeutic exercise will modify pain, catastrophizing and quality of life in endometriosis.

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a biophotonic cosmetic massage cream in reducing musculoskeletal foot pain in adults. Participants with pain in one or both feet attending the Podiatry Clinical Area of the University of Seville will be randomly assigned to receive either the investigational cream or a placebo cream with similar characteristics. The assigned product will be applied topically to the painful area twice daily for 10 consecutive days. Pain intensity, pressure pain threshold, foot function, and health-related quality of life will be assessed during the study.

This randomized clinical trial aims to compare the diagnostic performance, reproducibility, and agreement of several non-invasive instrumental methods for assessing plantar hyperkeratosis hardness in healthy subjects and patients with diabetes mellitus without active foot ulceration. Participants will be evaluated in a single study session using plantar pressure platform analysis, durometer measurements, ultrasound elastography, and infrared thermography. The study seeks to identify the most reliable and discriminative methods for clinical and preventive assessment of plantar hyperkeratosis, particularly in populations at risk for diabetic foot complications.

This study aims to investigate how moderate wine consumption influences circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) in healthy adults. EVs are small particles released by cells that carry proteins, lipids, and genetic material, and play important roles in communication between cells. Participants will consume a single serving of red or white wine, and blood samples will be collected before and after consumption to study changes in the composition and function of EVs. The study will also assess how these EVs affect vascular, immune, and brain-related cells. The results are expected to improve our understanding of how moderate wine intake contributes to cardiovascular and brain health.

The objective of this clinical trial is to determine whether therapeutic physical exercise combined with electrotherapy and exercise gaming improves rehabilitation outcomes in pediatric and adolescent cancer patients. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does the combination of therapeutic physical exercise plus muscle strengthening and therapeutic physical exercise plus gamification, compared to a single exercise intervention, improve patient condition? Does gamified exercise improve treatment adherence? Does electrotherapy improve muscle activity when used in muscle strengthening mode? Researchers will test the application of the described modalities and assess improvements in variables such as cardiorespiratory fitness, physical activity self-efficacy, pain, balance, joint range of motion, physical activity level, cancer-related fatigue, quality of life, anxiety-depression, sleep, kinesophobia, and social status.

The main objective of this clinical trial is to evaluate whether watching an educational video before surgery, combined with the use of virtual reality or music during surgery, can reduce anxiety and pain in people undergoing ingrown toenail (onychocryptosis) surgery. The main questions the study aims to answer are: Are the educational video, virtual reality, and music effective in controlling and reducing pain and anxiety during surgery compared to traditional surgery? As a distraction technique, is virtual reality or music more effective in reducing pain and anxiety during surgery? Do these interventions produce changes in patients' physiological parameters during surgery? Is there a relationship between patients' sociodemographic characteristics and their level of anxiety when undergoing surgery? Three study groups will be compared to determine the effect of each intervention: Experimental Group 1: watch a 5-minute educational video before entering the operating room and use virtual reality glasses with a 360° immersive video of a relaxing walk in the forest during surgery. Experimental Group 2: watch the 5-minute educational video before surgery and listen to carefully selected instrumental music through noise-canceling headphones during surgery. Control Group: surgery performed in the traditional way, without an educational video, virtual reality, or music. All participants will complete questionnaires to assess anxiety, pain, and satisfaction before and after surgery.

The investigators are writing to inform participants about a study being carried out by a research group from the University of Granada and the University of Seville, in which the participant's son/daughter is invited to participate. The study has been approved by the Provincial Research Ethics Committee of Granada under code 202499906944441. The sole intention of the investigators is to ensure that participants receive correct and sufficient information to assess and decide whether or not to give consent for the child's participation in this study. The information sheet should be read carefully, and any questions may be addressed to the investigators. The objective of the study is to culturally adapt the program It's Your Game: Keep it Real (IYG), which aims to prevent risky sexual and affective behaviors in adolescents. The IYG program consists of 12 lessons, each lasting 45 minutes. These lessons aim to help the child identify personal norms and boundaries regarding sexuality, recognize situations that might challenge these boundaries, and develop refusal skills to maintain them. The program also covers topics such as the characteristics of healthy and unhealthy relationships, friendships, anatomy and reproduction, the social, emotional, and physical consequences of sexual activity, the consequences of teenage pregnancy and STIs, condom and contraceptive use, and communication skills. This adaptation will involve the child completing all 12 lessons (two lessons per week over a period of six weeks) that make up the IYG program, as well as filling out a series of questionnaires. These questionnaires will allow the investigators to assess the usability of the program in Spain (including ease of use, comprehension, acceptability, as well as aspects most liked and suggestions for improvement). Participation is entirely VOLUNTARY AND ANONYMOUS, and consent may be withdrawn at any time, without providing any explanation and without this affecting the care the child will receive in any way. In all cases, the CONFIDENTIALITY of the data collected will be maintained in accordance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679 and the Spanish Organic Law on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPD-GDD) 3/2018, of December 5. Regarding the study results, these may be shared with the scientific community through presentations, conferences, and/or publications. The investigators express appreciation in advance for cooperation in this study.

The goal of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of home positive parenting programs targeted to families at psychosocial risk carried out in Cantabria (Spain). The investigators will collect information before the intervention, and every six months until the family achieves the proposed objectives (with a maximum intervention period of two years). Besides, the investigators will compare these results with information from other families that are not taking part in the program. Depending on the case, the practitioners in charge of the intervention, the main caregivers of the participating families and/or the adolescents will provide the information for the study. The investigators expect that families participating in the programs will improve their parenting competencies, their family dynamics, and the life quality of their children.

IDHEApp will implement various educational technology tools and work with the families, teachers and caregivers to increase physical activity (PA) and improve healthy eating. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the use of innovative digital technology can contribute not just to distance learning but also to support families and students in remote. However, both healthy habits and technologies are insufficiently addressed in the population with IDD. These needs are in line with the following objectives of the Erasmus+ programme: a) Inclusion and diversity in all fields of education, training, youth and sport; b) Addressing digital transformation through development of digital readiness, resilience and capacity, and c) Encouraging the participation in sport and physical activity. Educators will find innovative possibilities and the right instruments that will enable them to fulfil their potential through innovative online education \& learning \& training skills module for lifestyle promotion and others available on the app. Furthermore, mentors and others health professionals (e.g., nursing etc.) will be equipped with knowledge and skills on how to use the app to teach practical skills for PA enhancement in an evidence-based way. Consequently, this project will contribute to \[specific objectives - SO\]: \- Raise awareness of the importance of healthy and active living among young Europeans with intellectual disabilities. Different workshops and bigger events (i.e., international conference), together with the involvement of numerous participants from the institutions of this consortium will be ensured. Further, a sensitized community will participate through the social networks and the website itself, in the proposed activities. \- Provide digital resources and tools to the partner entities of the exchange to improve lifestyle of young people with intellectual disabilities. Best Practices to provide high quality, inclusive digital health education with the best educational technology tools and methodology. A website, a mobile app and different electronic guidelines will be delivered. \- Analyze the current state of use and acceptance of technologies as support in the management of health in adolescent with intellectual disabilities.

The primary objective of this project is to examine the impact of a strength training program with high cognitive demands on cognitive function, motor skills, physical fitness, and quality of life in individuals with Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitive impairment. This randomized controlled trial will involve participants for a total of five months. Initial two weeks will be for cognitive, physical fitness, quality of life, and specific biochemical profile evaluations, along with familiarization sessions with the exercise routine. The experimental group will then undertake a supervised strength training program twice a week for 16 weeks. The final two weeks will involve re-evaluations of all initial assessments. Participants will be randomized into a control group and an intervention group with a minimum of 17 individuals each. Stratification criteria for randomization include physical activity level, number of Alzheimer's disease-related risk factors, extent of brain damage based on MRI biomarkers, and clinical dementia rating scores.

This study is part of the e-Perinatal project, funded by the European Research Council. This research project will follow the first three phases recommended by the Medical Research Council (MRC) framework for the development and evaluation of complex interventions (Skivington et al., 2021). The primary aim is to evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of implementing an innovative, personalized mobile health (mHealth) intervention designed for the universal prevention of perinatal mental disorders. Using a pilot, two-arm, cluster-randomized hybrid type 1 clinical trial, the study will assess key implementation outcomes and preliminary effectiveness indicators. The findings will inform the design of a future large clinical trial, intending to evaluate the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and implementation of the intervention as part of maternal care.

Background: Currently used direct-acting antivirals (DAA) share pharmacokinetic pathways with many comedications commonly used in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, therefore drug-drug interactions (DDI) might exist. Although extensive (DDI) verification is recommended by most clinical practice guidelines, real-world studies have shown that approximately one-tenth of patients on DAA therapy also take concomitant medication with the potential for significant interactions. Despite the risk of significant DDI when patients are administered DAA and a concomitant medication, to date, there is very little information on whether these interactions translate into changes in the toxicity or efficacy of any involved DAA or comedication in clinical practice. Clarifying this issue is a critical point, as the DDI profile of the currently used DAA is not the same, with SOF/VEL showing a lower risk of significant DDI than GLE/PIB. Thus the objective of this study is to compare the percentage of comedication switch, withdrawal, or dose reduction at treatment initiation and during treatment with GLE/PIB or SOF/VEL. Methods: The patients will be enrolled from the GEHEP 001/HEPAVIR cohort. "The HEPAVIR-DAA cohort (NCT02057003)", includes HIV/HCV-coinfected patients, and "the GEHEP-MONO cohort (NCT02333292)", that includes HCV mono-infected individuals, are ongoing prospective multicenter cohorts of patients receiving DAA combinations prescribed in clinical practice, outside clinical trials. Main Study End Point will be the frequency of comedication switch, withdrawal or dose reduction at treatment initiation (index date) and during treatment with GLE/PIB or SOF/VEL.

Pain, particularly shoulder pain, is a social and economic problem worldwide. Although visceral pathology is not yet taken into account in the diagnosis of these pains, it is likely that on numerous occasions the hepatobiliary visceral condition causes referred pain in the metameric area belonging to the shoulder due to the involvement of the phrenic nerve. Therefore, the aim of this project is to study the response of treatment by neuromodulation of the phrenic nerve for shoulder pain in patients with associated hepatobiliary pathologies, assessing the possible visceral involvement in the symptomatology.

Abdominal wall hernias are among the most prevalent pathologies today, characterized by specific symptoms such as pain, a sensation of tightness in the affected area, and potential gastrointestinal complications. These symptoms negatively impact patients' health and quality of life. In other clinical conditions, such as osteoarthritis, sarcopenia, and fibromyalgia, participation in multicomponent training programs (which integrate strength, mobility, and stretching exercises) has been documented to significantly improve quality of life, reduce pain, and optimize patients' functional capacity. Likewise, scientific literature highlights that in the context of injuries requiring surgical intervention, such as anterior cruciate ligament or meniscus tears, patients who underwent prehabilitation programs based on multicomponent training experienced fewer losses in functional and structural aspects, such as strength and muscle mass. These programs also contributed to a reduction in postoperative pain perception. Therefore, the primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effects of a multicomponent training program on health variables (pain, quality of life, perceived exertion, and recurrence) and functional capacity (trunk isometric strength, grip strength, and lower limb dynamic strength) in patients with abdominal wall hernias. As a secondary objective, the impact of this program on the aforementioned variables after abdominal wall repair surgery will be investigated.

Neck pain frequently present comorbidities in peridiaphragmatic organs. The innervation of these organs include the phrenic nerve. It is known that peridiaphragmatic organs trigger referred pain in the neck area. As well, previous studies have shown that visceral disorders increase sensitization in somatic tissues. This study aims to analyze the ability of phrenic nerve infiltration to diminish sensitization and improve neck symptoms in the absence of neurological, traumatic or infectious pathology that justifies the pain, by means of a randomized controlled trial.

Pregnancy causes physiological and biomechanical changes in the female body, such as weight gain and hormonal changes, which can affect the structure and function of the foot and ankle. These adaptations can influence gait, balance and stability. However, the temporal evolution of these changes in the foot and ankle before, during and after pregnancy is not well documented. This study aims to characterize and quantify these changes, as well as their impact on foot function, with the aim of contributing to the prevention and management of podiatric and orthopedic problems in pregnant women.

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback (HRV-BF), Mindfulness programs, and Interoception training can reduce stress, improve well-being, and induce brain changes in university students and staff at the University of Seville. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does HRV-BF training reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and cause measurable brain changes in participants? * Does Mindfulness training reduce perceived stress, improve mental health, and lead to changes in brain activity? * Does Interoception training enhance emotional self-regulation, reduce stress, and produce changes in brain function? * How do the effects on the brain compare between the different types of training (HRV-BF, Mindfulness, and Interoception)? If there is a comparison group: Researchers will compare participants who receive HRV-BF, Mindfulness, and Interoception training to a waitlist control group to see if any of these interventions lead to greater reductions in stress, improvement in emotional regulation, or brain activity changes. Participants will: * Complete pre- and post-training assessments to measure stress levels, anxiety, emotional regulation, and brain activity using EEG (electroencephalography). * Participate in one of three interventions: HRV-BF training, where participants learn to use biofeedback to improve heart rate variability and manage stress. Mindfulness-based stress reduction, which involves meditation and mindful awareness techniques to reduce stress and improve mental health. Interoception training, where participants learn to focus on internal bodily signals (like heartbeat and breath) to improve emotional regulation and manage stress. Each intervention will last six weeks, and participants will be assessed at the beginning and end of the program. This study aims to determine which intervention is most effective at reducing stress, improving mental health, and producing beneficial changes in brain activity in university community members.

This clinical study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of infiltrations in the treatment of plantar fasciopathy, a painful condition that affects the sole of the foot and is common in active people. Plantar fasciopathy is caused by inflammation or damage to the plantar fascia, the tissue that connects the heel to the toes. Participants in this study will be randomly assigned to receive one of two treatments: corticosteroid infiltrations or conservative treatment without infiltrations. Infiltrations will be guided by ultrasound to ensure accuracy. The study will evaluate pain reduction and improvement in foot function over a six-month period. The objective of the study is to determine if infiltrations provide a significant improvement compared to other non-invasive treatments. The results will help doctors and patients make informed decisions about the best treatment options for plantar fasciopathy.

The goal of this clinical trial is to determine whether the use of a mobility platform can improve response time in children with cerebral palsy. The primary question it seeks to answer is: Can the use of a mobility platform enhance cognitive development in children with severe disabilities? Children are randomly assigned to two equal-sized groups: the control group, where participants will continue with their standard therapy, and the intervention group, where participants will use the mobility platform. Researchers will compare outcomes between the two groups. Participants in the control group will engage in a traditional cause-and-effect therapy, using a video that frequently pauses, requiring them to press an adapted button to continue watching. Participants in the intervention group will use the mobility platform during their sessions. Movement begins when the participant presses the adapted button, and the platform advances, adjusting its direction using sensors to detect obstacles. Once the preset time limit is reached, the platform stops, and the child must press the button again to resume movement. This stop-start process mirrors the cause-and-effect training in the control group.

The methodology will be applied for the treatment of aggressive episodes. Many people show this kind of behavior associated with several psychological disorders like austistic spectrum disorder (ASD). It will be studied the effect of aggressive outbursts on several physiological signals (heart rate (HR), breathing rate (BR), electroencephalography (EEG), etc). The use of those signals in a biofeedback loop could help patients recognize their internal states and avoid imminent aggression. The study want to verify the efficacy of a cognitive therapy that includes biofeedback and virtual reality (VR) and find out the most significant physiological features that are affected by these episodes.

The aim of this observational study is to establish normal thermographic parameters in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, in order to prevent and diagnose rheumatic foot using thermography. The main question to be answered is: What are the normal thermographic parameters in rheumatic foot? If there is a comparison group: the researchers will compare the thermography of the foot in healthy subjects and in subjects with rheumatoid arthritis to see if there are any alterations in the thermographic image. Patients who wish to participate in the study will undergo a thermographic study of the foot, which does not entail any risk to their health.
